Feeley, Garcia, Vick, Foles, this situation has been rooted in this franchise for 20 years now. You can't really tell the story of them without the tale of the backup. It's wild how it always comes down to this, but here we are again.

Well if there ever was a situation suited for a backup to step in to for a game it this one.

I hope he has his Jeff Garcia moment Saturday.

But that wasn’t the discussion.

Hurts is going to play vs Dallas. He played the rest of the game after that play.  There is no way he is missing this game unless he absolutely can't go.  He'll get some treatment and be ready to go

This game means nothing in the grand scheme of things.  We're locked into the #1 seed and Dallas is locked into #5.  Give Hurts a week or two to get healthy and let's see what Minshew can do.

If he plays well and parlays that into a big contract, we get a better compensatory draft pick.

This team has been so good that it doesn't matter that Hurts could miss this game.
