He doesn't have to prove anything to us, the Fans, but you can bet the farm his mindset is about his teammates.

If he can go, he will. That's the guy. All In. Surprised no one seems to get that part of him yet.

No bubble wrap, full on Gamer. Beat Dallas is his current Goal.

He'll play, I'm bettin. ...and Rock.

That would prove selfishness.

Proving his leadership to his teammates would be taking care of himself for the common good of winning a Super Bowl.

He will support Gardner and know his teammates are good enough to get the job done.

I get that, but Siri may be more sane and keep him out anyway.  Jalen didn't really play the preseason, so once they clinch, Jalen will sit anyway

Hurts injury aside, I couldn't be more sold on Hurts right now. I don't think I've ever done a 180 on a player like this before. Not only has he elevated his game to an elite level, but he has the best leadership/intangibles/toughness qualities I've ever seen of an Eagles QB.

A QB's demeanor rubs off on a team. I have no doubt as long as Hurts is the QB of this team they will carry a collective winner's mentality that originates with him. He's gonna be one of those "the team plays their ass off because they don't want to disappoint their leader" kinda QBs.

Doing what he did yesterday with a sprained shoulder in the freezing cold and having his best quarter of the game? Flat out winner.

Them running Hurts so much and not Sanders really ticked me off. Double-pull sweeps would have wrecked the bears.

People seem to be way too excited for Minshew to play. Hurts has been outstanding this year.

More to do with intrigue. He's a decent QB who gave Dallas a run for their money with all backups last year.

You can't play Heinke with Hurts and trade him (not saying you were making the argument) for assets, as QB impacts the locker room and intangibles matter. Hurts has the X-factor that you can whiff on so many times, no matter how many shots at a first round QB you get.

Zero rooting interest tonight.  Right?

Packers. If they win they're still in the playoff race. Gives them more incentive to beat the Vikings.

Lot of people in here super confident that this game doesn’t mean anything and that they’re just a guarantee to win one of their next three. They put up a stinker against NO and then all of the sudden they have a must win division game against the Giants the final game. That may sound like a lock based off the first game, but do you want that stress?

This is still an important game Saturday. You want the starters resting week 18 not fighting for the one seed.

Is it stress or simply a challenge?  And stress for whom?  The players?  The coaches?

Sorry man I’ve been busy making dinner!

Hopefully it's nothing serious, and it serves as a wake-up call to Nick and Shane to be a bit more judicious on the use of draws, keepers, or sweeps where he could be exposed to further injury.

I'm sure there's some convoluted reason we need a Rams win to make the Saints pick higher by 1.8%

Correct.

Hey, it's Official, I just saw it on Local Philly Fox News.

Hurts likely to start against Dallas with a Minor Shoulder Injury to his non-throwing side.

So there. Carved in Stone...(sorta) ...B-)

as they continue to build the Hype for the Game..:smoke:

Big Girl panties are optional at this point... depends.

Only if he tried to play while hurt. In that case, I agree.

If he's good to go, smoke them Effers.

Sprained shoulders tend to get worse after you rest, it gets tight and sore.

But now this is a house money type of game for the Eagles, a chance to punk the Cowboys and a loss really doesn't mean as much

There's a lot from this game that I'd rather not see again. Mainly any screen that's not to Goedert and the stupid end arounds. Those just end up being wasted downs aside from the 5% of the time they kind of work.

Hurts will be good to go for the play offs but no doubt its a bit of a concern now. A long anxious few weeks ahead.

What do you at the point, with the assumption the #1 seed is locked up? It would be hard to justify putting him out there in a meaningless NYG game, but it would also be hard to justify shutting him down for over 4 weeks.

He could play a half against the Giants or even just a quarter.  But no runs.

I suspect he probably will. If he misses the next 2 I suspect he will play some against the Giants otherwise that's a long old gap without football.

I really feel this week is a short week and they aren’t going to risk further injury when they can clinch everything they want with or without this game. it isn’t as dire to win anymore considering Dallas lost yesterday. Feels like it’s precaution to keep him out and let him have a week off to heal instead of making it worse.

that said i wouldn’t be entirely shocked if he’s out vs. saints either. How schefter made it sound and mclane said it may

Of course... NOW they take precautions and get a little conservative.
