That's where most of the best OTs are found.  Eagles have been weirdly fortunate at LT recently by finding guys that aren't top 10 picks.  But, Lane was #4.  Tra Thomas was #7, I believe, back in the day.

If we draft an OL in the top-10 he should be slotted in to play immediately, right? Otherwise, you get a less polished but talented prospect that can be coached up (reserve in 2023, potential starter in 2024). It’s reassuring having Jurgens, he must have been a huge BPA coup at the time… a time when we didn’t have a starting CB across from Slay.

Mike Leach, Franco Harris, lady from Seinfeld… always in 3s. That’s a bummer.

To the bolded... no.  That's not the purpose of the draft.  We drafted a DT #13... and he's playing about 15 snaps a game.   Drafting isn't about the season after the selection, it is about setting yourself up for the future.  Lane has said he's got a very limited amount of time left.  So, getting a replacement is a priority.  And looking at this team's reliance on Lane Johnson 'overpaying' for his replacement is likely not a bad move.   When will the next time be that we'll be in a position to land a top 10 pick?    We can't waste a top 10 pick on a lesser talent or even a top talent at a less valuable position, even if the other pick has to only get spot duty in year 1.

If the OT drafted can also play RG, that's a bonus.  But, I want no part of Jack Driscoll at RT or his like.  He's not good enough.  This team is doing what it is doing because of the lines.  The OL and DL are the keys to success... they are the engine.

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! WTF!!!!   Some shenanigans here.   Did he purposely fail his physical?

Apparently giants doctors had issues with his back. But some are speculating he got cold feet with the giants and giants using "medical reasons” to save some face. Really likely that he and boras wanted to go to NY and not Sf

Wow.  Didn’t know Harris died.  It’s not even on the ESPN website.  And just days before the Immaculate Deception game.  Met him a few times, he has a company in the industry I’m in.  Saw him speak once.  Not a good speaker at all, but the yinzers like him.

His jersey is getting retired for the 50 year anniversary of the immaculate reception in 3 days. Crazy timing.

Yeah I know.  Which begs the question, why did they wait so long.  He was overrated but he was a big deal in Pittsburgh

Overrated?  I think that's a bit of a stretch.   Not a top 10 all-time guy, certainly.  But a Hall of Famer.   15th all-time leading rusher right now... and was like 3rd or 4th all-time when he retired behind Peyton and Brown.   It could be argued he was a volume runner with his number of years played.  But, I think there is something to be said for longevity as it pertains to the HoF as well.    Then again, I am against Frank Gore getting in and he's currently 3rd all-time.  Not sure what I would have against Gore though.  🤔

Just listened to a radio interview with him yesterday on the way home from work.  Crazy because he was coughing a little bit, but didnt sound like he was on deaths doorstep.  Wild to think he passed away just hours later.

Never said he wasn’t a HOF.  Just think he’s overrated.  I lived in the Pittsburgh area and they act like he was an all timer.

Frank Gore is a former Eagle legend and probably underrated.  Especially since I didn’t even know he was 3rd all-time.  What a quiet career.

In Pittsburgh, he likely is overrated.  But, nationally... I think he's viewed about right.

Frank Gore hit exactly 16,000 yards.   I didn't realize it either until I went to see where Franco is currently ranked.  Curtis Martin is 6th!

Sorry, dumb take.  So hes ass, then hes above average, then hes average

What hes saying is true but hes being too emotional and not making a coherent argument.

Hes the same way on I Am Athlete on the radio

Someone has to make the tackles.  People keep pumping up TJ Edwards like he’s better than average   Keep in mind Alex Singleton lead the team in tackles last year.   All this says is we haven’t had ish at LB since Trotter   Yeah, Bradham and Meco sprinkled in, but not much else

He's fine. Not outstanding, but not a liability either.

Definitely an upgrade over Singleton.

That's damning him with faint praise.

I’ve never heard anything positive about Shady the person.

Cut Wallace. Reed is back!

I think Wallace played OK.

Janarius Robinson

Tyree Jackson

Trey Sermon

All seem like possible cuts/phantom IR/ future practice squaders once CGJ, Quinn, and a punter are elevated

CBS' Mock Draft has us taking OT Paris Johnson Jr. with the #9 pick.

If the top DLs are gone, this would be an intriguing pick. Paris can be plugged in at RG on day 1, and later be kicked outside as Lane's eventual replacement.

Not the way I would go, but still.

Yeah, nah. If Lane was about to hang em' up then sure. But DL is tops for me with an outside shot at CB if it makes sense.

These damn Saints are keeping things way to close for my liking and the rest of the division just isn't stepping up. They really could steal that division which would be so bad. That pick dropped to 9 already and their schedule is: at Browns, at Eagles, home against the Panthers. They easily can go 2-1.

Against a terrible passing offense, his greatest weaknesses were not on display.

Double over or microwave over oven?

Micro Over.

Range is the Drop-In White Insert just past the Sink.

We put in a combination microwave/exhaust fan/convection oven over the stove.  Greatest decision we made in the entire kitchen.  LOVE IT!   The convection oven really helps out a lot with things.

Crazy timing with Franco. Jeez...

If they could make it a reasonable add-on to YouTube TV that would be cool. I wouldn't be opposed to moving away from Sling.

I did that about a year ago.  YouTube TV has local channels, and a far superior interface.

Kinda what I'm thinking too. He's better than what we had, which is refreshing, but I still find myself wanting another LB that is near pro bowl level. Whether outside or inside. I see TJ getting an extension sooner rather than later though. There's the undrafted story being a Howie find, wont cost much. Seems like someone they lock up long term.
But I would LOVE to take a LB round two, someone with better athleticism and higher ceiling. Then you'd have TJ, Dean and a higher ceiling rook. Not getting my hopes up though.

Sweet stuff available out there these days.

Pick your passion. I prefer ducted systems if at all possible, yours is on an exterior wall, ideal...
