Christmas Eve just 68 hours from now in Dallas the Eagles will be without the league MVP to pay the rent for everyone.  Instead they will hope for a Christmas Miracle as they take on Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.

Surprised Dickerson made it.  When I mentioned the possible list in here the other day, I got 7 of the 8.  Replace Hargrave with Dickerson.  

Dickerson did go to BAMA… that helps with the player vote.

And people keep saying that this game doesn't matter for the team after Dallas lost to Jacksonville, which I think is BS. It means a lot to Sirianni, it means a lot to Minshew who is basically auditioning for when he hits free agency, it means a lot to the offensive line after how Mailata responded to the Parsons comments, and it means a lot to the defense to show that they can step up with an offense that will be limited with Hurts out. And it means a lot to clinch the one seed in Dallas's house. The starters want to rest the last week or two of the season, not have to grind out a week 18 win against a division foe if New Orleans somehow catches them next week. 

The idea that the Eagles will go TOO vanilla or try to tank, is ludicrous, for all the reasons above and MOSTLY just to nail down the ultimate prize from the regular season, the bye and HFA. 

Now, I do expect we turn away from the option and go with a lot more straight up runs, but most assuredly I expect all the terrific stuff the O line does well in the run game. 

My main concern is that we weren't doing a good job against the run in the first game and dallass turned away from it, or do I misremember it? 

Conversely, we have done A LOT to address the run D weaknesses and have looked pretty damn good against the run since. 

But Zeke and Pollard are tough and we don't usually do a great job with them is how I always feel about it (doesn't make it true but I think it is).

Just saw that Nick Foles was named starter for the Colts.  That's about 16 weeks too late.  Been saying since they got both him and Matt Ryan that they would be better off starting Foles instead.  He's better than Ryan.
