  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Welcome to NC. I think it’s as much about the wind but and potential power outages. We’re also expecting lows in the single digits tonight. That’s unusual here and people won’t be prepared.

Smart move by the governor.  Declaring a state of emergency helps makes the state eligible for FEMA cash if needed because a president will rarely not follow suit to declare a disaster  especially when multiple state (and that has already happened with this winter storm).  That opens the State up for Public Assistance grants. In PA, you will have local governments declaring a state of emergency to open up the possibility of FEMA money but also PEMA funding.

Some extensions popping up, wonder if Howie extends anyone. If he does I think it'll probably be Hargrave.

He's going to command big dollars and will be on the wrong side of 30 soon.  I think he walks and gives us a 3rd round comp pick in return.

FEMA/PEMA is typically on a reimbursement basis - so you gotta have the receipts if you want that money.

This cold will be a good test for my new ductless heat pump system.

Im hoping to not have to turn on the coal stove. Will see if the heat pump can keep up.

Not really. Disjointed offense. We have seen this year several instances where the QB and coaches insisting on their schemes not fitting but the problem with the Jets is they lost the major component of their running game with Hall, were banged up at WR and two thirds of their starting OL is on injured reserve. Not a depth team.

That said, Wilson has a bit of Wentz in him.  Happens sometimes with strong arm QBs where they believe their arm can overcome tight coverage and they don’t work on their mechanics enough to fix their accuracy.  They need a dose of whatever Daboll whispered in Allen’s ear to overcome that.

I think he'd be perfectly fine as a stop gap QB there.

Bad news to whoever that one dude was talking about Hurst the other day

Oh no... Hurts and Hurst?    Not good for Shurt, Thurs, or Shrut as well.  Anagrams are having a hard week.

Meanwhile, you see a franchise like the Jets continue to flounder

They're not floundering, they've improved from 2 wins to 4 wins to 7 wins this season.  Douglas has built a competitive roster and a very stout defense.  The two main errors he's made have been Adam Gase and Zach Wilson -- which are both big errors, but fixable.  I think Saleh is a good head coach.  They likely need a better OC, find a bridge QB, and keep drafting well.

I'm not so sure they won't be a better team than Miami in the next year or two.

That was what trhe Chicago defensive deployment was set up to do.  Not specifically to hurt Hurts, but to take away his options.

The response I would have lioked the Offensive game plan to have come up with was more quick release passes to the receivers ... taking advantage of the man coverage Chicago had committed to.

The response should have been about anything other than what it was

They did it with cap space and top 10 picks. Won't be the same in future years when they have neither.

That’s kinda how you rebuild….

Interesting results

Mahomes easily above Hurts for MVP - 16 to 6.5

Sirianni leads CotY but is more narrow than I thought with Shanahan (who might take it if they keep winning with Purdy) - 7.5 to 6

Howie runs away with executive of the year over Shneider - 13.5 to 6.5

Likely to have both OROY and DROY this year too. Don't see that often.

Probably through the door.  🤷‍♂️

I don't think he does. Feels like there's some politics going on and Howie doesn't want to create any bad vibes in the locker room.

Or though a downstairs window.

anyway I see that Michael Irvin himself is taking about the cowboys being winners and having a winning mentality, and you can see that they are winners already and compared them to Mike Tyson. I know he’s doing his shtick but if any cowboys fans think like that, they need to book an appointment with an optician as their eyesight is in poor shape.

Nope.  Jim Jones' legacy shows up in social media.
