Jackson going to IR was predictable. Using that spot for Elliss is kind of surprising though. They still need to clear spots for CGJ, Quinn, and Kern.

I guess that if it’s true that they can reset the PS activations for the playoffs, they could simply not promote Kern for the Giants game and instead use Elliott to punt. Or sign another punter to the PS that week and have him punt. Obviously this would only be an option if everything is clinched before then.

I am considering starting the Browns defense in my fantasy semi finals.  8 degrees and 30 MPH winds.

With no other injuries I'd guess Robinson is cut for Quinn. I'd want to say Sermon is cut for someone but he will probably get a heavy workload as soon as we clinch. Covey I think has to be cut. He's been better but it's hard justifying him on the roster strictly doing only punt returns and playing 5 or so snaps a game. I think they could cut him after the regular season ends and hope he clears waivers to make it to the PS and then just elevate him every week. If he happens to get claimed elevate Ward for the same role.

But I'm expecting some more injuries, especially the bottom of the roster guys who barely play who will go to playing a full game against the Giants and maybe Saints.

Janarius Robinson, Trey Sermon, maybe Kyron Johnson. There will probably be other injuries in the next few games that necessitate IR, too.

I don’t think games day reactions are good indicators of anything. Games are emotional and people react quickly.

Very true. But what I’m talking about is always the same people talking about the same player.

Still think this is going to be the biggest obstacle come playoff time.

You mean the season wasn't over at half time of week 1 ??

Same here, but I can always watch the NO game on Gamepass (if it is working)

I grabbed them for my semi.  I need all the help I can get.

I have the Titans, but they have played like crap the last couple weeks.  Gonna be cold in Nashville, but not near the winds as in Cleveland.

Here's my Hoagie Mouth take of the day.

If I was another team, I would carefully unload my bulletin board material the week leading up to an important game vs the Eagles. Sirianni and Hurts preach about not taking the "rat poison" or staying focused, but it feels like they are very well aware of talk either though other players or media that causes Sirianni to have awful game plans to try to prove everyone wrong. Even some of the players for as much as they say at PC's they aren't aware or don't care about outside noise, they clearly do. Maybe it's Sirianni just being "too competitive" but I would go off on them leading up to the game. It'll be interesting to see if teams try this starting in the playoffs.

If there is any truth to this, then the Eagles are soft as hell

Well, we saw how Sirianni coached and acted post game against Indy. And then last week sure felt like the game plan was to not only showcase Hurts as the MVP to prove Parsons wrong, but also all the buzz around Fields was how electric he's been running the ball. Felt like they wanted to show Hurts was just as good if not better.

Plot twist. Sirianni is one of the people who would rather see Hurts win MVP than the Eagles win the Superbowl

So SF came out of the bye at 4-4 (with wins over Rams x2, Panthers, and Seahawks) (losses to Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, and KC)

  • They beat a Chargers team without Allen and Williams and most of their DTs... by 6.
  • They killed Arizona who is 1-6 in their last 7 and the win was over the decimated Rams and some QB named Wolford. (52.9 rated QB with 1 TD and 5 picks in his career)
  • They beat the mighty Saints 13-0
  • They beat the Dolphins at home without both starting OTs. (by 16 is pretty good though)
  • They beat Tampa who are 4-8 since a 2-0 start. (35-7 sounds nice until you see Panthers 21 Buc 3)
  • They beat Russell Wilson's ex-girlfriends who are 1-4 in their last 5 with the win also vs the decimated Rams and some QB named Wolford.

Which one of those games prepares them for the Eagles in Philly in the playoffs as their 3rd game in a row?

They have the option of leaving Kern on the Practice Squad.  That would mean he would miss one regular season game, but once the Playoffs start he would be eligible for elevation throughout all the Playoffs rounds.  I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Quinn never gets reactivated, and CGJ can replace RB #4 on the roster.

All of them. Including last season.

Dude, they have the best defense in the NFL, yards and points allowed.

Sadly, I think this is more true than we want it to be.
