We'll know before the Eagles play on Sunday if they need the Saints game for the NFC East since Dallas plays Thursday night.

Dallas ain’t losing to Tennessee with Malik Willis at QB.

The loss today is pretty insignificant IMO, and it helps the team not be "overly rested” going into the playoffs.  This way, all the starters play and beat the Saints — then you can give Week 18 off to the players that need to rest injuries before the bye week as the #1 seed.

Folks who were suggesting the Eagles could rest players after a win today had me worried.  Rest for 3-4 weeks then jump back in to host the Divisional Round?  Didn’t seem like a smart plan to me

Exactly. They will beat the Saints with Minshew and if not, Jalen comes back week 18 to seal it. This performance today with a backup QB would beat any team not named Chiefs, Bills, Bengals, Cowboys, 9ers. Turnovers were the story of that game.

The crazy thing is I thought the DL played well. Dak often had a rusher near him or in his face. We couldn’t cover worth a darn.

I thought first half they just kept matchung lamb on Scott. I’ve said this in the past with Gannon. He’s way way too slow at adjusting until he gets to halftime. After halftime lamb had 2 catches which one was the td where bradberry was trying to read the route and it was a good play design.

Second half, the defense still had issues but really got hurt by the 3 turnovers by Scott, sanders and the int to quez. Also hurt themselves with giving up a bomb on 3rd and 30 which I’m betting if we go back and watch falls on Scott not playing far enough back on the cover 2 coverage so that Hilton is contested and not a catch. Then again like you said earlier should’ve went with what Schwartz loved to do in those situations with the Picket fence defense

The pending Lane diagnosis is the single most important factor in the rest of this season.

The interior secondary is bad without CGJ.  Scott can’t play; Wallace might be better than him.  Blankenship is severely limited and stiff.  Maddox is a good nickel and it’s noticeable when he’s out.  I don’t like Epps much at all — always late and short.

Anyone else having the issue when they post when it does not load the post made on the page and is just sitting on "saving" when you hit post?  And then you need to refresh the page to see it posted?

Sounds like it was a tendency breaker by Dallas.

As for sticks, I truly don’t remember a team ever attempting a deep ball against that. Play six guys between 15 and 20 yards off and let Dak check it down. Seems so obvious.

Slay calling out our backup nickel who sometimes plays safety for botching cover two.

You know how I feel about the call already…

Not going to go back ten pages to read about, and didn't actually see the play, actually listened to it, but what the Eff happened?

How dues one give up a 3rd and 30???

What defense was called, and not knowing until now that it was Josiah Scott that screwed up the play it's not surprising at all, he's sucked all year.

What's crevon Le Blanc doing these days, Josiah Scott is just trash.

Slay let Hilton run past him and our shrimpy backup nickel turned sometimes safety was late getting over.

If Slay is to be believed, it was on Scott, which brings even more question to the defensive call.

Driscoll at RT is a losing proposition.  If Lane can’t go then it needs to be Mailata at RT and Dillard at LT.  Get your best 5 on the field.

Mailata is a dominant run blocker, but as a really good LT in pass pro?  Not so much.

Andre Dillard is severely overrated on this board.

The fact we haven't heard anything is concerning. Can't be good news.

Did Jordan Davis ever come back in? Not that he’s been noticeable out there either way. I’m sure some will disagree but I think the kid will be a bust. Or at least no better than Bunkley & Patterson.

If you’d like to watch one of the more painful plays in recent memory.

Wonderful play and angle by a guy who isn’t really a safety.

When you quote it, we have to see it. He pops off at everyone, Sad, really. React Emojis are his only recourse, otherwise.

Please keep the rest of us in mind if you choose to engage the Less Desirable around here.

Best course, Leave em hanging, let em simmer.

Nope. Head injury.

My first reaction when listening to the play without benefit if seeing it was to blame Gannon, I mean 3rd and 30 there has to be a major blown assignment or just a really bad defensive call, seems on this particular play it was both???

Just totally inexcusable.

Good Lord, that's an awful call on 3rd and 30.

Yeah. I thought it was a good call by Dallas. Sometimes gotta tip your cap there.

i thought second half the defense did a much better job taking lamb away. They made an adjustment and dared someone else to beat them. Issue is really likely giving up points when Dallas starts at the the eagles 31, the eagles 21 and their own 40. Basically 2 they are already in FG range and the other in the dome just need 15-17 yards to be. Granted the 3rd and 30 is inexcusable from play call to execution.

I’m sorry but Scott blows. It sucks mcphearson isn’t making the leaps we thought nor CGJ being healthy. Cause I’m guessing if maddox went down, CGJ goes the slot and they play Blankenship at S with Epps. That said, like maddox when he’s healthy. But the guy is made of glass. Besides last year he’s always getting hurt. He’s played in 13+ games 1 time in 4 years.

Driscoll can’t play OT.  He’s a good backup OG who can play guard for a few games if needed.

Dillard can play OT.  It’s really as simple as that

I would say it was both. I’d say reasonable minds can disagree, but I won’t in this case. Gannon was a fool, and Scott ain’t a safety and blew it.

Big picture we are in the playoffs. And still need 1 more with with 2 left. Not sure if Hurts comes back next week but sounds like Lane could have returned if needed. Just rebound and got another opportunity next week

I wonder if Gannon needs to go up to the booth instead of being down on the field

He’s been fine for the most part. We need our pound of flesh for today’s disaster, but no need for a major change.

I'm very likely going too far out on a reach for this but I almost feel like he is trying to set the Cowboys up for a rematch.  Play a certain way that makes the Cowboys feel over confident going for certain passes and concepts in a rematch only for Gannon to be totally prepared to perfectly counter that.
