Big picture we are in the playoffs. And still need 1 more with with 2 left. Not sure if Hurts comes back next week but sounds like Lane could have returned if needed. Just rebound and got another opportunity next week

Win the war not the battle. If we clinch homefield Dallas has to come to Philly and deal with all the elements and not play in a dome. Add on if Dallas comes to philly for the divisional round they’d be playing in their 4th consecutive road game.

I'm very likely going too far out on a reach for this but I almost feel like he is trying to set the Cowboys up for a rematch.  Play a certain way that makes the Cowboys feel over confident going for certain passes and concepts in a rematch only for Gannon to be totally prepared to perfectly counter that.

Illustrate this hypothesis for us visual learners please

is cjg coming back, ever?

If you’d like to watch one of the more painful plays in recent memory.

Wonderful play and angle by a guy who isn’t really a safety.

CJG can't get back soon enough and I'm so tired of Maddox the dude is hurt all the time which forces trash like Josiah on the field.

Not sure what the heck slay was doing in the play either, the whole play just seems stupid.

Why not man up and blitz Dak and fire him to hit a short route Instead Gannon rushes four and plays an almost sticks defense, Scott retreats deep from the snap is 20 yards back And still gets there late and why the heck is slay turning him loose???

So many boneheaded plays in this game but not surprised Josiah was in the end of one.

I’m not sure what to feel about this secondary. They’ve forced a lot of turnovers, but some weeks I feel they really play below the level of their personnel. There have been games this year and parts of games where they let offenses go up and down the field with ease. It’s hard to get on them too bad since they usually bounce back and figure it out, but in the playoffs they’ll be going against much better offenses, so it’s something I’ve kept in the back of my mind all season.

Rueben Frank saying on Eagles Post Game Live that you can't even play Hurts next week if it was the Super Bowl that you need him to get 100% first.  What a bozo take.

Even though the Commanders lost today, I still like their path to the #7 seed.  They have a 7-7-1 record, host CLE this week then a DAL team likely resting starters as long as the Eagles take care of the Saints.
If they can win one of those two I gotta believe 8-8-1 gets it done.

EDIT — SEA plays the Jets and Rams to finish; gotta think they get to 9-8.  Commanders will need to win both their games as well

If you hold back next week, you face the prospect of playing a Giants team fighting for their playoff lives and needing a win to avoid going on the road in the wild card round.

So don’t hold back next week.

So, it's a trap?

I think some of this is true. I also think in the first half they didn’t expect to lose maddox as early as they did. You could see the Eagles just made few adjustments with Scott vs. lamb. just assumed Scott would be able to hold his own when the Cowboys specifically targeted and matched up against him against lamb. In the second half the Eagles finally adjusted and made for the most part somebody else have to beat them.

i mentioned a couple weeks back an issue i have with Gannon is you can’t spend an entire half just letting the same thing beat you consistently and needing halftime break to finally make the adjustment. Eventually you’d be burned by that and it did today. You just can’t allow their best playmaker in lamb to easily just find that mismatch and beat your worst defender for 103 yards in a half.

The pending Lane diagnosis is the single most important factor in the rest of this season.

This.  If he’s out then it doesn’t really matter what happens, they are done without him

Sounds like it was a tendency breaker by Dallas.

As for sticks, I truly don’t remember a team ever attempting a deep ball against that. Play six guys between 15 and 20 yards off and let Dak check it down. Seems so obvious.

I can see cheating a step inside on that play. Bradberry cheated like 5 steps inside. That was dumb.

Are you going to go brag about yourself to people in person now or do you save that for a Message Board. 😂

I mean, you did ask about the concerts 😂

Maybe just learn to sit one out since you’re completely ill equipped 😁

Did Jordan Davis ever come back in? Not that he’s been noticeable out there either way. I’m sure some will disagree but I think the kid will be a bust. Or at least no better than Bunkley & Patterson.

I'm with you on that.  Wasn't a fan of the capital used to trade up for him and he's done nothing spectacular in his short time on the field.  I REALLY hope he proves me wrong.  I was unhappy with drafting Smith last year and now I absolutely love the guy.  Davis needs to work his tail off to come back stronger, healthier and ready to play a huge role next year.

The nickel cb and the middle of the field have been a mess all year.  It goes ignored because the team keeps winning and because those problems go away when CJGJ and Maddox are healthy.  But CJGJ is on IR and Maddox is a bit glassy, so here we are.

It’s tough to get off the field when Scott and Wallace are on it.

If they moved Mailata over to RT and Dillard to LT they might be ok

I didn't trust Driscoll though I trust Stout to make proper adjustments.

When Jason Peters went down and replaced by Vatai many thought the season was over.

And it was over after they won the super bowl.

Losing lane would be a big blow but not impossible to over come.

Losing Maddox early was a bigger deal In today's game

I have more faith in the eagles backup OL under stout than I do the backup DBs.

Next week is a must win IMO.  Not only to secure the 1 seed and HFA but also to knock the Saints pick down.  Really bummed how they have hung around this season and the top 5 pick is no more.

Once again, what’s your favorite Buffet song?   I’m trying to get to know you bud.  It’s Christmas, let’s get along.  Which is it?  The cheeseburger song or the shaker or salt song?

They’re not the same song, right?

I’m good…I already know you!

Driscoll at RT is a losing proposition.  If Lane can’t go then it needs to be Mailata at RT and Dillard at LT.  Get your best 5 on the field.

Mailata is a dominant run blocker, but as a really good LT in pass pro?  Not so much.

Driscoll can be solid at RT.  Problem is he will last about 3 quarters before he gets injured.

I agree 100% with putting in Dillard at LT and Mailata at RT but only if Driscoll gets hurt.

Hey Doc, mind your business.  Also, no one needs you to coach them through this place.  Even the last Jimmy Buffet fan on earth.

Awe, you quoted me. Thanks.

Let's agree on two things.

You have No Control over what I do or say here, and I still don't care what you have to say, even when you're throwing shots at people.

 Just sad. Again, Bye.

Even if maddox gets hurt then you are likely fine if you can use CGJ as the slot and have Blankenship at the safety spot. Blankenship isn’t spectacular but he’s not Scott out there.

the issue is we spent decent money on maddox and the dude is always hurt. Last year in a contract year was the only year he’s stayed relatively healthy. I was against extending him for the money he got cause he is injury prone.

Slay calling out our backup nickel who sometimes plays safety for botching cover two.

You know how I feel about the call already…

This was exactly what we were talking about the other day - you can’t have your C2 safety milling around the box presnap because it might turn into a foot race to the deep half against a much faster wideout on a go route… why they would get this cute on a 3rd and a mile is mind bottling.

I’m not gonna be able to sleep tonight and it’s fing Christmas 🥲🥲🥲
