I think the turning point was early when the Eagles were up 10-0 and on 3rd and 5 Avante Maddox came in and hit Dak but couldn't get him down and then Dak was able to get off a pass for the first down.  Instead of getting the ball back the Eagles let Dallas just drive it down the field without resistance after that first down and make it a 10-7 game.  If Maddox gets Dak down there and the Eagles get the ball back and score then the rout was going to be on.

Doesn’t a cowboy loss against the titans get us the division since we’re 2 up in the loss column?

It does.

But the Titans beating anybody seems less likely than your Powerball ticket winning the jackpot.

Yes a Cowboys loss would wrap up the division. But how about they just win. Don’t go into the playoffs losing 3 in a row.

Don’t know if it was gonna be that easy. Even up 17-0. We blew two 10 point leads. That was a big point in the game. The biggest 3rd and 30. Get the ball back and with under 8:00 left.

I haven’t seen the first interception to him today because I had to drive home from my in-laws during that drive. Looks like the Cowboys got away with clear DPI on that still frame.

Borderline DPI.  The DB went after the ball, and went over the top of Watkins.  If he was any tougher than the Stay-Puft marshmallow man on that play, he'd have felt it and would have at least turned defender on it.  Instead he went passive.  The difference between him and Brown/Smith is glaring.  When the ball is heading their way, they do everything they can to bring it in... meanwhile, Watkins just expects the ball to come to him and that he can just laissez-faire it in.  No urgency from him.   This was a game for the players around the QB position to raise their level.  We saw it with Brown, Smith and Goedert... each made some great catches today.  Watkins was worse than an empty jersey out there.

Quez Watkins has caused 3 INTs in the last 2 weeks, through poor route-running and lack of toughness. He needs significantly less targets. Just throw to Brown , Goedert or Devonta. This is how the Rams won their SB last year. Feed your studs, even when they're covered.

And yet the offensive geniuses continue to go to him in tight and critical situation. Where the F is Pascal. I would much rather he get home some opportunities over Watkins. Bigger, more physical, string hands. He could be good in the situations they are forcing to Watkins which fail miserably.

I’d rather Pascal. He blocks well and is pretty sure handed catching the ball.

I think a fraud team like Dallas folds when down 17-0 in a game that they don't really need.  That play was also really the start of bad mojo to follow the team throughout the game.

Exactly never again Quez Watkins he also arguably lost the us the Skins game

Minshew put up rather big passing numbers today but I thought his performance was just somewhere between okay and pretty good.  The Eagles had a loaded offense and his OL played well enough to give up zero sacks — but I thought Minshew had happy feet in the pocket too often and his throws didn’t have much zip.  Still, he was pretty good considering he was thrown into his first start in Week 16 against a 10-4 team on the road.

He didn’t embarrass himself by any means, but I also don’t see him as a starting QB on a really good NFL team, either.  He threw two picks (although Watkins can share blame for both) and I’m not sure whether to blame him or Scott more for the one fumble.

Agreed.  I expected him to be a little cooler in the pocket.  Then again... he was literally thrown in to the fire against a top 10 NFL defense with a top notch pass rush.  Not an easy spot.  Would have been much easier for him had he jumped in against a weaker opponent.

Just tell me to leave you alone and that’s all it’ll take.  You don’t have to make up BS, that "I’m out of my depth” dealing with you.  You’re on a message board on Christmas Eve even though you said you were leaving and you like Jimmy Buffet.  Not sure you’re the Rockefeller you make yourself out to be.

The 3rd and 30 set of downs was everything.  That was the DL on the first two plays saying "We’re locking this game down”, then the secondary on 3rd down saying "What the hell, it’s Christmas.  Here’s the game gifted back to you”.

I’m still trying to figure out what Darius Slay’s quote even means.  How do you let the WR across from you run free on a go route and assume "Josiah Scott’s got this”.  Terrible situational awareness.  Slay must have been worried about all the other DAL players in the area running 30+ yard routes.

First time in franchise history we had 2 1000 yard receivers. And can I say thank God we have Brown and Smith. Smith has gone to a whole other level the past couple weeks. He’s taking shots and hanging on and making some ridiculous catches like his one on the sideline.

Agreed, best set of wideouts this franchise has had.

Josh Sweat has been playing really well the last 6 weeks or so as well.

That’s such a stupid comment. Sure he’s probably better then sone of the lower tier qbs but he’s not top 10 or 15.

The tweet didn't say top 10 or 15. Said top 32

Tbh gardner isn’t as good as hurts. It’s obvious he’s not. He’s good enough to win you a game or two if hurts is out. He’s likely with this roster good enough to get 8 to 10 wins (possibly more). I don’t doubt that. He doesn’t have a great arm you’d like and he’s sometimes erratic like his near INT. However i do think he’s better than anything the jets are using right now. The titans would love to have him. Ditto with the colts. i also think he could start for teams like lions, niners, Carolina (less so cause their line isn’t very good so might get knocked out) and have success with the weapons they have.

that said he’s also hasn’t played in 15 weeks and came in and played competently. I’m guessing if he is forced to play against the saints next week he likely looks better in his second game under center and not the first time in 15 weeks. It’s the same reason why i dislike hurts not playing for 5 consecutive weeks. Gonna have some rust and it likely takes a couple drives to really get into a rhythm.

Am I the only who thinks it's really dumb that Hurts has been completely swiped from the MVP conversation basically because he missed a game? What's done is done. At the same time, Pro Bowl voting ends after 2/3 of the season almost.

Today sucked, but the Eagles still control their own destiny.

Win 1 of the next 2 games, and they are two home playoff wins away from the Superbowl.

I’ll take this as your subtle way of tapping and acknowledging that you got in a bit over your skies tonight 😂

Keep at it champ, I’m sure you’ll get the next one 👍

Even before that, when we drove into the red zone on the opening drive, the top gun aviator overthrew an open receiver that would've been a TD. We should have been up 7-0 instead of 3.

He was in competition with Mahomes. IMO that alone should be great to fans. He missed a game and is no longer viewed as the MVP. It happens

And on 3rd and 9 when he ran for 2 yards instead of not passing to DeVonta Smith who had broken completely wide open in the back of the endzone.

Yeah sucks lost the battle but can win the war by winning one of the next 2. Handle our business vs. saints or giants we get the 1 seed. bye week to get healthier. We will be sitting at home while the cowboys face tampa with Brady/saints/panthers. If Dallas plays us in the divisional would be on their 4th consecutive road game & in the elements of the linc. It is really hard to win 3 consecutive road games let alone a 4th against a team off a bye and fully healthy.

The real takeaway from today was injuries.  Goal 1 for the day was staying healthy.  Winning the game was an unnecessary bonus.

The team is now dinged up and let it happen to them in a losing effort.

The second takeaway is the middle of the defensive secondary.  It is THE definitive blueprint on how to pour points and yards on this defense.  They need CJGJ and Maddox.
