So the Jets are going to unload Zach Wilson in the offseason.  I never liked him in the draft, but for a later pick…that could be an interesting backup and reclamation coach up and flip project.

Chiefs

Yesterday was also an interesting study in what to expect (and what not to expect) from a very good backup qb with experience.

The game plan when you have a backup qb *should* be to wage a war in time of possession.  Defense needs to step up, keep moving the chains, lean on your elite running game, and let your qb stay within the system while keeping the the turnover sheet clean.

The Eagles basically did the exact opposite.  Defense was a let down, and they asked Minshew to keep up in a shootout.

Unless your backup is SB Nick Foles, you either get high output with turnovers or a clean, conservative game plan.  Minshew answered the bell by keeping the offense moving and allowing the weapons to make plays at all levels of the field, but you can’t ask a backup qb to do that and not expect multiple, multiple turnovers.  Otherwise he’d be a pro bowl starter.  And that’s what they got.

For those of you who saw that I was making my first-ever cake from scratch, here it is. 😂

It’s not a looker, obviously; but it tastes pretty amazing (tasted pieces I cut off the tops of the cake).

Merry Christmas!

Lol seems like a non update

My guess is he plays vs Saints then rests til the playoffs.

That was probably the worst game our corners played all year besides Maddox until he got hurt

They went against a better QB and good receivers. That had something to do with it

Who?  Lane or Hurts?

I suspect Lane is cooked.

Lane.

yeah 4 turnovers on the road almost guarantees a loss , but slay seems to have gotten lazy at times these last 2 games giving up that TD late in chicago and 3 and 30 bomb to a guy just off the street. that bomb and maddox not bringing down dak on that blitz was killer.

Doubtful.  If it’s a sports her is then he’s done.

Players play through those all the time. Lane is a tough SOB he played years with an ankle that he said practically collapsed. Dude's playing short of being in a wheelchair.

You can't expect your WR3 to compete for the football either, apparently

He might as well have sports hernia stamped on his forehead.

Playing through it and playing at the level you are accustom to seeing from him is two different stories.

No reason to being someone with that **** of an attitude into the locker room.

Cox possibly leaving leaves a big void for players with hilarious sexual conquests. Count me in on Wilson.

Agree with most of what's been said in here, Post game.

4 turnovers on the Road usually guarantees a loss. We had these suckers on the ropes.

NFCE Divisional games usually turn on a few key plays. This one did, too.

Maddox couldn't get Prescott to the ground in time to prevent the throw. Credit to Dak, strong play but he still sucks...

3rd and 30, Slay in trail tech, expecting help over the top which was late getting there.

Boobie...Oh my, two in two weeks...Nobody feels worse about that than he does...

Takeaway on a contested ball is tantamount to getting your ass handed to you in Prime Time. Sorry, can't happen.

Not worried, our Backup QB played his butt off, a few plays here and there, this is a different narrative today.

Look out New Orleans, we're pissed...and still in Charge.

Not even close.  Gainwell isn't horrible but we could really use a better 2nd option after Sanders.  Ajayi was fantastic in that role back in 2017.  Gainwell is just meh.

Sanders is a JAG, so is Gainwell
