Taysom Hill is one of the few bright spots for the Saints. They lose yesterday without him.

I don't know why but he's on my list of players I hate the most in the NFL.  I don't even have a reason, I just can't stand him.

A few weeks ago, I would have put Dallas losing to either or both Tennessee or Washington, but those teams have turned to ass in recent weeks. Much as I hate to say, Dallas could win both.

Titans likely aren’t going to play anyone good in that game. Win or lose the titans season comes down to beating the jags week 18. If they beat Dallas and lose to the jags their season is over. If they lose to Dallas but beat the jags they make the playoffs.

Yup. Then they get a mini bye for Washington.

Thought they played great yesterday. Felt like too many times we got cute running the ball and trying to stretch to the outside when we had more success in between the tackles.

It's one of the more frustrating things with how Minshew played.  He had no reason to be so jumpy in the pocket or throwing off his back foot.  All he had to do was trust his pocket and step up.  Would have had over 400 yards had he done that.  He wasn't the reason they lost but it's the one area of his game I was most disappointed with.

So you know he’s an entitled B POS because he was born rich? Any other reasons?

Quite a few actually. Yeah, he was born rich, in a city full of entitled a-holes you wouldn't understand about unless you lived here,  now his entire team can't stand him, he acted like a **** when called out in his press conference, and the coaches and front office want him gone two years after picking him 2nd. He's soft and not used to people not kissing his ass and can't handle things now that they aren't going his way, so yeah

In fairness he likely gets to 400 if sanders and Scott did the simple thing of securing the ball. With how Dallas defense was giving up yards via the air, they likely get to at least 40 if they just got field goals and Dallas doesn’t get 10 points off those turnovers. Heck the Scott fumble they were already near midfield after two plays.

wilson picked off

Titans could rest guys, but they could also see it as a game to get Willis some more work, because frankly, he looks absolutely terrible.

The Eagles have had an incredible ride this year, so it's unfair to just keep whining after a loss in a game that meant very little (I'm saying that as a reminder to myself, not to those of you with criticisms).  So I've got to get 4 main frustrations off my chest, then it's time to enjoy Christmas and be grateful for this team...

1.  They clearly made some business decisions in this game given reduced importance.  And the infuriating irony is that the subsequent losing effort was also the most injury riddled game of the season.

I’m not buying that they didn’t go all out yesterday or hid some of their real gameplan due to the game not being a must win. Because like you said, now they have Lane and Maddox injured and anything can change on a week to week basis. You can’t keep kicking the can down the road and assume that New Orleans will be a guaranteed win and then if they blow that game think New York will be a win in the last game of the season based on how the first matchup went. Because now the New Orleans game is a must win if you want to rest some guys for the final game, which is much needed.

I think they went all out yesterday and came up short. What we saw from the defense yesterday is what we have typically seen when Gannon goes up against a good quarterback. It’s easy to look good against Kenny Pickett, Justin Fields, or Matt Ryan. I don’t think they went vanilla at all yesterday. They just got carved up by Dak again which is becoming an uncomfortable trend against him the past couple of seasons. He has their number.

And Miles sealed his case the past two weeks if it wasn’t obvious already that he won’t be getting another deal here. They’ve never trusted him to be the guy and he showed why.

My god Wilson and Watson have just been absolutely brutal this year.

The two fumbles irk me more than the picks. I get quez didn’t do a great job on either but Dallas had to actually do something to get those. Dallas got two gifts of simply having to just recover the ball cause Scott just whiffing on the handoff and sanders not securing the ball after the previous week where he fumbled. Those two were 100% just trying to do to much and not paying attention to detail. Not to pile on sanders but the previous regime didn’t utilize sanders as much as you’d like late in games due to concerns about the fumbling issue

I’d be surprised if it wasn’t a sports hernia at this point

calling it groin/abdomen- it definitely is a sports hernia. But Id expect him to play through that. And Id expect him to be fairly effective doing so.

The Eagles played much better against the run, which is a positive step.  DAL only had 74 yards on 25 carries between Zeke and Pollard.  The DL played very well overall.

I’d say the worst Eagles players in the game were Sanders, Kyzir White (surprising), Josiah Scott, Boston Scott, Quez Watkins.

Scott and Quez need less snaps in the offense

My guess is he plays vs Saints then rests til the playoffs.

My guess is he rests till the divisional round of the playoffs, and then plays through it.

Looking for a Quez replacement in the draft.

Along with White and Epps replacements.

Also a competent reserve nickel back.

That challenge and review took 10seconds

White’s is already on the roster with Dean.

When I went back to watch the game over, it felt like in the first half the Eagles just didn’t adjust to Avonte Maddox leaving the game. They ran the same thing defense they would’ve with maddox. I think heading into the game they believed maddox was good enough to cover Lamb one on one and win his share of the battles. Maybe not all the time but enough that they were gonna get destroyed by him. However, when Scott came in, they didn’t really adjust until Halftime.

The Eagles were better on third down in the second half. They held Dallas to 2-7. In the first half they were absolutely getting destroyed on third down as Dallas was 6-8. However, the 2 third down conversions in the 2nd half were third and goal from the 12 where daK makes a ridiculous throw and Gallup makes a great catch for the touchdown. then the 3rd and 30. I’d also say slay getting a penalty on 4th down to keep a drive alive was brutal and ditto with maddox missed sack. So when having chances to hold, force a punt and get off the field was an issue for the eagles all game.

Too many holes to fill on this roster with all the free agents. Give Quez another year to clean some things up and stop using him in situations that don't cater to his strengths.

Hopefully Dean is the White replacement, though I have my doubts.

If you move Blankenship to Epps role and extend CGJ the safety position is fine. Frankly i like Blankenship and think he can be a solid starting safety when he gets more experience. Seems like a smart player out there.

we talk about needing pass rush as a major need but i think getting another corner is just as dire. Slay is 32, Bradbury is likely gone. Leaves you with maddox, mcphearson, jobe and Scott as long term options.
