Can't wait to hear all week about how this is a trap game.

After further thought and discussion, I suppose Blankenship and Dean could be the successors to Epps and White.

CB2 will be a definite need if/when Bradberry leaves. Hopefully that's addressed with the NO pick. Porter Jr. and Smith are high on my list there.

I could see a 1st round trade down scenario that yields one to three more lottery tickets in rounds 2-4 as well.

WR3 candidate/competition could be had in the 7th round. There will be some diamonds in the rough.

Possible Eagles could double up at CB this year. There will be value in the 3rd-4th rounds. I'm a fan of Stevenson out of Miami and Pritchett from Auburn. Would provide quality CB depth and either could move into a starting role when Slay hangs them up.

Obviously want to add a DT and DE early. Late 1st rounder should be some good hits there. Verse would be nice DE. Dexter the DT from Florida.

I think it is more likely they extend Epps than CJGJ.  I think CB2 depends on what the coaches think of McPhearson. Impact when he has needed to play is pretty minimal.  If the BPA when they pick is a CB, I think they will grab one if for no other reason than Slay will be on his last contract year and is expensive.

NFCE WR comparisons:

Safe to say we have the best of the bunch in AJ. Smitty is on the rise, he's already arguably better than McLaurin, and hopeful that he overtakes the rest as the best WO in the div in short order.

What's scary IMO, is that Smith is only just beginning to show what he's capable of.  Yea, he broke the rookie record last year but he didn't do too much that WOW'd you.  The 1st Redskins game this year was what he did every game at Alabama.  Then the Eagles forgot what he was and threw him 14 screens per game for half the season.  We are finally now seeing Smith fed the ball down field and in open space.  You can see how he thrives when being used the right way. I was honestly worried that Smith would get fed up with being used the way he was but now I think they are realizing how to use both Smith and Brown.  It's one of the most exciting developments as the season winds down.

Smith has gone from the guy the Eagles were left with after Kyle Pitts, Jamar Chase and Jaylen Waddle were taken to an absolute dog.  I love the way he plays bigger than he is and he seems to have a real nasty attitude about him despite his slight build.

they so underutilized him earlier, I know AJ was the guy, and still is, but all that crap you give watkins is just taking plays away from D Smith,  thats 3 plays at least D Smith could be getting, he is the most reliable reciever on the team

After having time to calm down and reflect on third and 30, and I think I owe Gannon an apology. I didn’t hold him accountable enough for that disaster. Fire him into the sun. One of the dumbest defensive calls you’ll ever see.

I think you're right but from Chauncey to Epps is a downgrade and what are you doing about the other safety spot. There has to be a quality addition if you want to maintain a higher level of play. Unless they accept downgrading due to cap restrictions and the other important areas they will need to address with extensions and such.

Zech is just not that good, guess there's still some more you can get out of him but he just feels like a slot corner.

After years and years of hating Schwartz line up in sticks...all the Eagles had to do was line up in effing sticks and they get off the field.  There is absolutely NO reason to let any WR run by you on 3rd and 30.

This is what we get for 4th and 26.

I’m guessing the line is that low due to minshew is assumed to be the starter. Add on the saints defense even against the niners play well held them to 13 points. last 8 games teams are scoring only 15.6 points per game and only Baltimore has scored over 20 points in that time. I can see it as a competitive game

I definitely see a competitive game too. They are playing very good right now and for their playoff lives. I see a tough, lower scoring battle that can really go either way.

Go Titans, am I right?

Thats not too concerning.

Gardner-Johnson being out has a bit to do with not creating as many.

But so does not being able to fall on any fumbles the past 2 games.

And so does a 4 turnover game with a backup QB.

Yes we know Gannon is garbage. At this point, I’m convinced Sirianni gave up play calling duties last year to have more time to hold Gannon’s hands. There have been hints.

This defense will be giving us heart palpitations all throughout the playoffs with his soft zones. He just can't help himself with it, similar to  Reid insisting upon firing away. Maybe Siri can force his hand?

It's almost like Jonathan Gannon is bad at this.

Anyone live or stay in the Rehobeth Beach area? We’re going to visit friends there for New Years and I’m curious to know if the Eagles games are considered "local” there or not.  If not then I hope some sports bar is open on Jan1

If you have good virus protection you can stream it.

I kind of feel sorry for him. Reminds me of the Sean McDermott situation here after 2010. Gannon is probably a smart guy who is just too green for a team of this caliber. He made sense getting the job because one would have expected it to take several years before we started truly competing, giving him time to learn on the job.

But it appears that we found a QB much quicker than expected and here we are. We need a veteran DC who knows how to get out of the way; this team doesn’t need a genius who has no clue how to do the simple things right.

He’ll get fired from here, land another DC job and probably flourish.

You really think that Sirianni (and possibly Howie and Lurie) aren't involved in the defensive approach?  They are choosing to do this as a franchise.

As horrible as the stats looked, we win that game with two fewer turnovers.  Josiah Scott makes one play and folks aren't calling for Gannon's head.

Wow.  Lots of stupidity in here right now bashing Gannon.

That's actually a fairly concert ing development.

We're going to have to beat the Saints, because the Bucs may lose out. They're awful.

And if they don’t lose out, they make it easy for the Cowboys to get an elusive Playoffs win.

Games like that are how you get fired in the NFL. And he’s had several games like that over the last 2 seasons.
