  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

But he started two games

I want Jalen Hurts to be the QB and I believe he will establish himself as the QB.

But if he doesn't then the Eagles will try to get a top veteran QB and right now it looks like Lamar will be the best available and he fits the profile of the type of QB that Lurie has shown he prefers.

Much more likely the Eagles draft a QB than trade for one

Well that rules out Lamar Jackson

How?

Rewatched and I have to agree. Allen put himself in harm's way too many times. QB draws inside are just...not good.

P.S. Man oh man. If the Rams didn't have Cupp they'd be nothing. At least last night.

Commentators mentioned it a few times that they are missing OBJ big time

The bigger hits by far were in the pocket. Stafford took a much worse beating. Seven sacks, fifteen QB hits. Brutal.

I agree that Stafford was hit worse but those hits were not intentional or as foreseeable as the ones Allen took when he lowered his shoulder running the ball.

Allen looked amazing but they need to remove a lot of those design QB runs. He has the weapons and a great arm. Let him throw it. He's 26 and it would suck if he was injured from trying to break tackles

Though that was awesome seeing him just toss that DB like that with the stiff arm lol

Goff better be sacked a lot

This is disingenuous. QBs who run a lot certainly take more hits than pocket QBs. It's just common sense. One bad game from Stafford's o-line doesn't change that narrative, nor does a fluky injury in the pocket. Wentz's injury was not in the pocket, he was running into the endzone and laid out. The Clowney concussion also occurred when Wentz was on the move.

Russell Wilson probably avoids more hits by running.  The same can be said for Aaron Rodgers.  It's not the running but the lowering the shoulder for extra yards. Mahomes should be added to this as well.

Gannon will have the DBs playing 10 yards off the ball on 3rd and 4.  He will also drop Reddick into coverage more often than he will let him rush the passer.

Lol I swear if he does I'll be the first to post fire Gannon that day

I am trying to talk myself into giving him a quarter.

Until Gannon plays that soft AF zone again and Goff is 14 for 16 in the first half.

Sweat will have so many hurries, PFF will give him the highest grade on defense.

Even more than Barnett?

Barnett will be dropping back  into coverage.

Uh...what?  Never heard of the term Baja New Mexico, before.  Neither has google, apparently.  El Paso is in Texas.  The most western part of Texas.  I used the term West Texas because that was the town I was thinking of.  We all have seen Friday Night Lights and Hell or High Water.  We know what the "West Texas" you are referring to.

Good god are you a "know-it-all".  Thanks for correcting people and showing it, again.

I guess Marty Robbins was wrong!

Yup. There was a run in that game where one of the Rams defenders was holding his leg up and he was getting hit by other Rams players. It was a designed Qb run. he gained i think 5 yards. And the officials waited a good 3-4 seconds to blow it dead. He didn’t get hurt fortunately but that’s a type of play you don’t need him even at his size just getting nailed for like 4-5 yards. Eventually his luck could run out and you lose him. Add on singletary actually looked decent last night on the 8 carries (6 yards per carry).

Two things on the rams: 1. Their game plan was head scratching. Watching it felt like mcvay was trying to be the "genius” everyone calls him by being cute with some of his players usage and calls. 2. I felt the SB last year was one of the better matchup they could’ve hoped for out of the afc even with having to face chase, burrow and mixon. The bengals oline was not very good but they managed to overcome it in the titans and chiefs games. the rams really exposed it in the SB especially late. The chiefs and bills were much better suited to beat the rams in that SB. In the game last night, the bills oline as the game wore on really began taking it to the rams (and their DL)

Thing is you can sign a player that another team has franchise tagged but you have to give up two first round picks.  Oh look at that, we own two first round picks next year.

Zero chance they give up those two first rounders for Lamar.

Zero.

I disagree.  They built a roster that is ready to compete now. If Hurts isn't the answer they are going to try to obtain a top veteran QB that can come in and help them try to win another Super Bowl.  The draft would be a last resort if they can't obtain a veteran in a trade.

Wrong

How?

QBs that Lurie has handed big money contracts to during his ownership:

McNabb

Vick

Wentz

What do they all have in common? Very athletic players at the position who are able to make plays with their legs when need be.

Bro, it's just 25 cents.  Just give it to him.
