Anyone still listen to Inside the Birds? I'd love to hear Adam Caplan's rambling breakdown of the Carson Strong situation.

That’s pretty simple, "Carson Strong was cut today, but my sources tell me the situation is fluid”

I'd be surprised if he isn't brought back onto the PS.  Mind you, I'm surprised Sinnett hasn't been cut yet.

I still think Sinnett will be gone if a better #3 QB comes available after final cutdowns.

I suspect that they’re working on a trade for Reagor and that’s why most of the WRs were at practice.

We can hope.

"I knew he was never going to make it. From the day after the draft, he was always considered a camp arm, I just couldn't comment on it. But, um, yea, we've got some great exciting stuff in the works, and I can't wait to tell everyone about it. Everything's fluid, so just keep an eye out for it later."

Hurts, Driscoll, and Watkins are low end starters. Not a great draft, but not terrible. Maybe I'm grading on a curve because of 2017 and 2019 🤷‍♂️

Watkins is not a starter, nor is he starter quality across the league.   He's, at best, the #3 WR here, but will likely be splitting reps with Pascal, and rightly so.  Driscoll is not a starter either, he's a nice depth piece, but even as such, he's been struggling to stay healthy.

And when your QB is a below average starter, that is never a good draft pick, because it is the most important position on the field.  Some QBs are able to lift the entire roster.  Hurts is not a guy who is capable of that.  On the contrary, he is holding back some parts of this offense.

It was cool watching track highlights this summer when Devon Allen was lighting it up and the broadcasters would mention him as being a player for the Philadelphia Eagles. Getting our name out there like that was kind of a thrill. Y'know, there was some pride in thinking, "He belongs to MY team!" But really, what has Allen demonstrated to anyone thus far outside of being able to run fast in a straight line? I don't think I've even read one single comment from any reporters about him making any plays in practice on offense.

As far as him being some demon on special teams, well, I'm not sure about that. I was more impressed with Tay Gowan, to be honest. And I know Andre Chachere can play that role too. Heck, I wouldn't mind if they were to bring Rudy Ford back. When he didn't have hamstring issues, which admittedly was far too often, he was darn good.

I would actually be surprised if Allen makes the 53 man roster in twenty-two hours. I'd prefer Covey because I actually think he showed some return skills in his limited opportunities, in addition to actually making plays during the practices that caught the attention of the beat writers enough for them to tweet about.

I kind of think reagor is gonna be part of a trade to get a safety back. Epps is fine. The rest of the guys they have our backups and I’m guessing aren’t thrilled with the prospects of Epps starting with Harris. Chuck Clark makes sense since the ravens have Williams and Hamilton. Plus their top 3 WRs are Bateman, tylan wallace and Demarcus robinson. I could see them trying to sell themselves on reagor having upside still and being brown’s replacement which ultimately will fail.

Deon Cain is the clear Nasty Nate winner this year. Surprising camp performance, a couple highlights in preseason, likely no future on the active roster.

Cain has been in the league for a couple years and was on the Eagles practice squad last year. NN is reserved for overhyped rookies who end up sucking.

Every other GM working on a trade for Reagor

I could not emotionally handle backtracking into 12 personnel, especially with a not-that-fast #1 WR who plays to contact.  I'm getting shivers down my spine already.

I hear ya. Let's hope those days are long gone

Well, he has to be released first, but if he is, yes, runaway winner.

Why poor Reuben randle never had a shot at the NN award a few years ago.

This is getting good. For some strange reason, bottom of the roster DB's love burning bridges.

He’s the 2nd best player never to get it.

He hits every qualification needed.  Bottom of the bench rookie who gets overhyped by the fanbase only to suck and not even come close to making the team.  He's the most qualified Nasty Nate award winner in years that we might have to just rename it the Carson Strong award.

Has there been an announcement for the national day time game for week 1? Hope it's Raiders/Chargers. That division is gonna be a fun ride.

Gonna depend on if CBS of Fox has the double header that day.  I can not find anything yet, and 506 sports does not have the coverage map yet.

Here it is, but no coverage map yet.

Maybe if he didn't have hands made of stone and made that INT he'd still be with the 9ers
