Pfffft. Nothing that a few extra void years wouldn’t fix anyway.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Georgia State as the opponent or not this is a DART.  I REALLY like what Drake Maye has been doing these first 3 games.

I agree, but that's not a throw you'd want to see him make against D1-A schools... and definitely not in the pros.  That's likely coming back the other way against better competition.    Nice zip on it though.

That's the reason the Eagles put a claim in for Kellen Mond.  They wanted to have a decoy in the backfield with Hurts.

I’m gonna de-bunk that one.  No one on earth resembled the size, mechanics, and playing style of Hurts more than Jamie Newman, and he was cut before having a cup of coffee.

He must have taken a huge dump in Lurie’s private washroom — without flushing

Yeah, those white dudes all look the same

Eagles need to draft Reheim Sanders out of Arkansas.

Spencer Rattler is garbage.

And I agree about ESPN.   I just tend not to tune in until noon now.   Hence my question from earlier.  What games are folks excited to see?

I am watching Arkansas right now.  Up 14-3 over South Carolina.  On ESPN.

BIG Running QB.  KJ Jefferson.  6'3 242.  Has speed but often plows between the tackles.

Big Running Back.   Sanders.  227 pounds.  Power and speed.

Hornsby - backup QB - smaller and faster than Jefferson.  They use him and Jefferson on the field at the same time.

Later - Florida - Anthony Richardson
Arizona State -  Emory Jones (ex Florida)
both tonight,  7 or 8.

Who will be the first Eagles starter to miss a game this season, among the guys who missed time last season?

Graham, Sanders, Seumalo, Hurts, Johnson, Mailata

Other …..

Sanders is the obvious choice.

Epps showed last year that he is more than a capable starter in spot duty.  He was the Eagles best safety.  Now that he has a starting roll locked up I think it's smart to lock him up before he hopefully blossoms.  He isn't going to be a top safety in the NFL but if he's a solid starter then having him locked up would be fantastic.  I honestly think he's going to surprise a lot of folks and be better than solid.

If you are still only 'hopeful' that he blossoms, I don't see the rush to lock him up.   Maybe I just missed it.  Being the best safety for the Eagles last year doesn't exactly mean much.  Jalen Mills was the best CB for the 2017 Eagles.  Was he a guy that needed to be locked up?

Personally, I'd like to see it before I commit.  Maybe the team has seen it.  I just don't share that vision.   I would love it if we actually had a safety that was worth locking up.  They also don't seem to be in a hurry to lock up CGJ.   That's fine.  Let them prove it for a few weeks and get it done in season.  It might cost a little extra, but that's ok.

I think Mills is a bad comparison.  I'd love to have Jalen Mills on this team, especially if he was at safety.  Yes, he got burnt but Mills is so much of what you want in a CB2 or modern day safety.  Mills was not as bad as those who hated him think and probably not as good as I want to remember but I had no issues with him on this team.

I mean the biggies for today are Bama/Texas and Kentucky/Florida.  Would love to see Texas become Texas again.  Kentucky/Florida is going to be a doozy for those watching 2023 QB prospects.

Tennessee/Pitt, Arkansas/South Carolina, Baylor/BYU and Oklahoma State/AZ State all should be good games.

It would be nice if ANY team could join the ranks of the elite again.  I miss when there was debate going into the season about who would be the #1 ranked team to start the year.  I'm over Alabama.  I'd love to see Texas become what they once were... or Oklahoma, or USC, or any team not in the SEC for that matter.   I'm at SEC overload.

TX fast on D all meeting at the ball

Will Rogers a QB I really like , been on Levis for awhile now , Rising right there too .

Mills was ok.  He was what he was.  He was a guy that was physical and could be good near the goalline.  But, he would bite all the time.  My point is though, was there a rush to resign him?  Nah.   And then he came back on a one year deal and they did move him to safety.  My point is, Mills wasn't so good that they had to lock him up, just because he was the best CB on the team at one time.  And the same is true for Epps, in my mind.  That's not to bash MIlls, but to highlight that being the best of an uninspiring group isn't enough to warrant locking someone up.

I had no issue with Mills either.  I liked him.  Mostly, I liked that he always competed.  He had the short memory a CB needs, and just because he got burnt on a play doesn't mean that he'd go into a shell after that.  Instead, he'd compete again on the next play.   He may have gotten beat, but he was never defeated, if you know what I mean.

I'll say this though... if they resign Epps for what Mills signed with the Pats for... I'd likely do that deal right now.

Geez the ref for Bama/Texas is yoked.

Is Philly the rudest U.S. city? Only if you’re a whiny baby.

A survey ranked Philly as the rudest U.S. city. We're not rude, we're honest. There's a difference, fools.

Philadelphia was ranked as the rudest city in the United States in a recent study by the jabronis over at Preply, a language learning app, who said they surveyed 1,500 residents of the 30 largest metro areas in the nation and asked them to rate the rudeness of their own cities.

Obviously, they’ve never seen the iconic Philly billboard that read: "Philadelphia isn’t as bad as Philadelphians say it is.”
