Watch untold on Netflix about Tim donaghy, I’m fully convinced if the fbi got donaghy to wear the wire before stern was able to squash the situation then the nba would’ve been in a ton of trouble with that issue.

I believe what Donaghy said 100% because it’s what I observed on the court before he ever went public.  Anyone who really watched the NHL playoffs between 2008 and 2011 could see a push for the Pens and Bruins as well.  I won’t say anything about the Hawks run in 2010 because I was watching the Flyers, and wouldn’t have been an impartial observer about their opponent.

To assume there isn’t any manipulation in pro sports is being naive, considering the enormous amount of money involved

I’m in Austin and it’s 90 out. How could it be 30° hotter on the field?

Fake grass.   The stuff between the blades of plastic (which heat up a lot) are black rubber pellets (which heat up even more).

Artificial surfaces have always been hotter than the air in full sun.  And this new stuff with the black rubber pellets gets hot... and holds the heat pretty well too.

Believer for NCAA or the NFL?

At the time both. As a true freshman i thought he had a better arm and made quicker decisions than Tua...so i was curious to see his improvement coming into this season.

On 3rd down you have to put a spy on Young, Texas' DE's are not athletic enough to contain him on a scramble.

Seems like a questionable choice for central Texas

Yup.  Definitely if you are going to be playing games at high noon.

I believe what donaghy said as well. It sucks that the fbi had a wire ready to go and what would’ve unraveled from it. Credit to stern cause he was able to find a way to avoid it and weasel the nba out of that. Also didn’t help the FBI was dumb and went to the him/nba. Should’ve just did it. I think the repercussions from what would’ve been revealed would’ve been huge.

Welp, Bama found their offense finally.

Settling for FGs and specifically missing that FG before the half looming large for Texas.

That's why FGs don't get it done playing Alabama.

Dammit Texas, keep them out of the endzone!

Oh well, was a fun game while it lasted.

Will Anderson about to take over

Easier to maintain. Arizona had grass for years. I believe up until 2013. a major reason they got rid of it cause cost wise it was cheaper long term to go with the turf especially when they hold other events on the field after the season. Actually Arizona just replaced the old turf with new after 8 years. Supposedly they are able to cool it down better and it’s easier on joints of players as compared to the turf they originally had installed. Still they try to schedule night games at home from September to mid October.

That safety that could have been looming large now

Yeah... it's a wrap

Card can't plant his throws.

Defense needs a turnover to win this.

Never heard of him

Alabama is going to win, but Texas blows them out if their QB doesn't go down.

yep. We had a hot one on sunday Youth Football with turf. Kids were throwing up. 85, over 60% humidity, and playing on an even hotter surface where you can feel the heat radiating up at you.

Or their backup doesn't get hurt too.

I have a big parlay with Alabama moneyline.

But a few minutes ago Texas was leading and was still an undergod. I took the Texas moneyline as insurance just in case Alabama was going to try to kill my parlay.

As soon as I picked Texas to win, Alabama scored.

I don't want Young anywhere near in the first round, but the kids never loses his poise and composure.

I'll give him that.

I have to meet with the builder for my garage. Tomorrow. 1:00.

Should be quick. But if everyone can refrain from posting abotut the game for the first 10 minutes or so, that would be great.

There's life in College Station!
