Crazy question... on a crazy play like this... why not take out the 4 OL and put in extra WRs/RBs/TEs, and just leave the center to snap it?   4 guys report as ineligible... and then when the mayhem starts, at least you have a few more guys on the field that are used to handling the ball and have more speed.

It's his leg.    He hurt his back leg so he lost the ability to push off the back leg.  That affects the power of the throw.
