22 offensive plays called for the Eagles and only two have been handoffs to a RB.  No QB can sustain success with that load.  They are putting the same absurd load on Hurts shoulders that they did for the first 8 weeks last year.

I saw lots of running plays with a RB.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Nice stick by Edwards.

Hurts is the RB 1, same as last season.

Brown will be fine in this type of offense because he’s a YAC monster and is more physical underneath. But a finesse route runner like DeVonta is going to be miserable in this offense.

Anyone selling hard on Devonta’s production this year had the right idea.  It might be Reagor-like.

Hey, 3 and out. Forgot what those were for a bit.

lets go D.

Hurts being forced to put the team on his back with the total lack of running plays by anyone other than the QB being called.  And he's doing it.

Lol he has the best OL on football and major throwing options. No more excuses. He sucks.

Goff gonna Goff

thought Slay was gonna go get it.

Hurts is making a lot of calls at the line. Seems he's audibling a lot.  And if he audibles to a passing play... who's fault is it?

It is still a crappy play call that indicates exactly what the coaches think of Hurts' passing acumen in the red zone.    They let him throw on first down and threw it right at 3 defenders.   From that point on, they went Run to Sanders, Called QB sweep and RO with Hurts.  No option for a pass on any of those plays.  They don't trust him to throw, and it seems they recognize him as their best running option (which he is).

Should have been 6 a couple plays before when he forced it to brown with DG wide open in the EZ.

that was a nice return. he could have kept trying to outrun guys to the outside and probably wouldnt have made it. He made the tough decision to go pick up some yardage and did a solid job of it.

That would assume he was even looking that way.   He has tunnel vision.

Why the heck is our PR on the practice squad?  Shouldn’t it either be someone else or Covey should be on the roster?

Maybe I’m nit picking, but a revolving door there equals deep territory turnovers.

Covey got a little juice, nice to finally see out of a returner

DG was on top of Brown there...literally behind him 10 yards.

Let's get Sanders going here please Shane

I have been breathing easily each time so far.   No concerns about ball security, and he made a nice little gain there.   Nothing spectacular, just a solid return.  Good decision making all around.   I've missed that.

If Covey is just Reno Mahe back there, that's a huge upgrade from Reagor.

Lets remember last season when we started out trying to run the real passing offense

looked like this

I said what I said.  I don't think he saw him.   He clearly didn't see the 3 defenders in between Brown and himself.

yeah. returns havent been impressive, but he looks so secure bringing it in. nothing to worry about at least. And I think eventually he will break a few. He has some good wiggle and speed. He will find a seam some time.

It probably depends on what his instructions were as far as audibling.  I’m not sure if he was given carte blanche.  I’m not watching the game, so I don’t know. I have to watch it on red zone. But I saw someone mention earlier that it looked like the Lions were copying the Bucs D plan.  If that’s the case, I can see why he’d be checking to more passes.

but like I said, I can’t see every play on red zone

That Sanders guy is decent, we should use him

Are we going to hear the best friend story every game?

Anyone sleeping on Boobie is about to be woken up this year.
