That's not to say I don't see flaws that could be fatal in other games. But if you're saying he wasn't good today when the O scored 31pts and he was the biggest part of that then you have an agenda. Or we just understand football better

And that’s good to have. But I felt like I was still watching 2021 Hurts from a passing perspective. Because this style of play will yield the same results of last season. Beating average to poor teams and losing to playoff caliber teams. I understand that. I saw a few nice throws mixed in with leaving the pocket too early. Today the results were good. We'll see what happens next week. If he can't beat good teams that will show itself more
September 11, 20223 yr I don’t understand why anyone…let alone many people…let alone people in the organization fail to see the big picture here. Sure, a glorified running back behind a bruising OL can give a defense major fits. He can elude rushers and scramble upfield for huge first downs. But a flat out bad passer with the upside to one day become a merely below average passer…in a run heavy offense…your team/our team has ZERO chance of ever competing for anything meaningful with that style of play.
September 11, 20223 yr Didn't someone used to have an avatar that said FFAAAARRTS. This could be new new face of it.

Hurts threw for 240 yards today with no turnovers. If he can do that, with his rushing, then he's valuable. If you want to question whether he can do that against better defenses, that's fair.

Too many variables in the result that can cloud analysis. hurts continues to hit ugly wormburners that sometimes end up in the fairway. Still bad swings

Umm They see it. They tried to trade for Watson, they tried to trade for Russel Wilson, they tried to trade up for Zach Wilson. They have accumulated several top picks because they see it.

But how many people actually think we’re competing for a Super Bowl with Hurts? We know the Eagles tried to trade up for Wilson and inquired about Russell Wilson and reportedly wanted to talk about Watson. The trade for a future 1 was to keep assets for the QB position.

More often he looked similar to last year but I saw a little progress imo. We'll see what happens going forward obviously but criticizing today seems off base That's exactly why he's being criticized
September 11, 20223 yr Who doesn't see the big picture though? It's not like the Eagles can get rid of Hurts tomorrow for Josh Allen. What's plan B? They're trying to maximize what they can with him.

I hope I’m wrong though

Hurts isnt "the answer", hes just the best option at the moment without unnecessarily dumping cap on Garropolo or Ryan. The 2022* draft options didnt blow anyone away, and Watson is a bag of cats. Wilson was the only option this offseason and we lost that one
