The context is we kept having to spend first round picks on wide receivers because we kept getting it wrong

This year we traded a first away for AJ Brown, who looks great.

But, if we had hit on our previous receiver picks, we could have used our second 1st rounder to select a QB.

Kenny Small Hands Pickett was on the board when the Eagles would have picked.

Did Dean play today?

Also, Dak sucks.

Sounds cute, but you're being disingenuous.

It's not that I say so. The history of the league says so. And I don't really care what you Believe.🤷‍♀️

 Nope, those are facts.

If you were hoping to see an improved passer, I think you aren’t going to view today as anything special.

If you don’t care about any of that and just care about the outcome of the game, you are going to view the QB today in a favorable light.

Call it an agenda if you’d like, just my view on it.

Or a pass rusher or safety that we need desperately

Okay, what should they have done in 2021 then? Try being sincere and leave the one liners at the door.

That Cowboys video board is a home field advantage

Addressed a defense that looked absolutely horrid today.

He went 18 for 32. He started badly - 0 for 5. Ugly. He had three throwaways to avoid taking losses. Otherwise he was 18 for 24. 75%. 243 yards and no turnovers. Not ugly.

didnt you take issue with someone saying take away the bomb to Brown? But then you say that?

It was ugly.

Your analysis ignores all of his bad decisions, be it, running when he didnt have to. Not keeping his eyes up to see WRs when he ran. Or continuously ran to the left, so much that Detroit began to predict it and even made it harder for our RBs to run that way. Throwing to Gainwell well short of the end zone in a clock management situation. His decision to throw at the wall of Lion defenders while locking on to AJ Brown in the end zone that seemed to cause the eagles to stop allowing him to pass near the goal line.

It doesnt account for the fact that his 2nd farthest throw of the game was only 16 yards. And the rest were all 12 yards or less. No wonder why, when you take away a bunch of his bad plays you can come up with a fake, high completion percentage. He is making all short throws.

It doesnt take in to account that he didnt spread the ball around to his weapons. Not enough targets for Goedert. 0 catches or Smith. 1 reception for Paschall. Nothing for Quez Watkins, our best deep threat.

And then, youll have no interest in the next point because it becomes nitpicky, but even a bunch of his completions were horrible throws. There was one to AJ Brown on the left sideline that probably could have been a TD if it was a decent throw. There were 2-3 more I remember happening, but dont remember who the receiver was. So although he had a bad completion percentage, the few completions he had were helped by major bailouts from his WRs (namely Brown).

His QB rating was in the low 80s.

Theres not much positive you can possibly, honestly, say about his game.

How did Davis look today?

When I noticed him...not good.  Lost a lot of 1 on 1's, got washed a bit, turned around.  He looked like a rookie in his first game.

I get that it’s not sustainable because you say so. Otherwise, I believe you lack credibility. Big hits? Don’t recall many, if any. Well, there was that cheap shot.

In simplest terms, the team started badly, Hurts passing being part of it. However, he held it together and was effective, even when he couldn’t complete a pass. It’s a measure of a player’s quality that he can be effective even when things are going badly.

I am in no way a Hurts apologist but I thought he played very well.

You are kidding yourself then

but i am curious what you think was going on with Isaac S today because he looked like a mess to me

No turnovers and he did convert a number of 3rd downs by running.

Yeah, seemed like Ragnow handled him pretty well. Disappointing but not necessarily surprising. He’s really good.

Draft Micah Parsons with major character issues? Zaven Collins? Kwity Paye? Tell the Dolphins to go F themselves and draft Pat Surtain at 6?

Or, how about this one, go back in time and fix every single past mistake and then draft the guy who looks the best on Sept. 11, 2022? I assume that's where you're going with this.

Your argument is not genuine.

Don't disagree...it's game 1.  He had a few flashes that I saw, I was disappointed that I didn't really see the explosion we saw in PS from him.  He wasn't a slug, but he wasn't exactly the dancing beer we saw previously.

Surtain would have helped our S problems...there's a chance I was wrong about him as a CB, he was pretty decent last year.

He had one play that was everything I hoped he'd be.  Hopefully that number grows significantly.

Dak just got rag dolled. Nice.

Dallas has huge issues on the line.
