I didn't like that one, but at least it involved someone else and wasn't 100% about himself.  The Superman thing is just gross to me and is a slap in the face to the other 10 out there... as if no one else contributed and he did it all himself.  I don't want Superman.  I want a team guy.  I want Captain America, not Tony Stark.

DET allowed 27.5 points per game last season.  The offense putting up 31 today isn’t exactly breaking through.

As I said heading into the week, I’m looking to Week 2 against MIN to see what the Eagles have against a good NFL offense.  They have a lot to clean up over the next week, and I have doubts the QB taking off 17 times will be the best offensive strategy

This is what happens when you overpay mediocrity at QB.

And Dak only counts $19M against the cap this year.  Next year he costs $49M.

A couple cautionary tales with the Dak and Kyler deals that teams will look at. I think it’s a similar reason why Baltimore doesn’t want to commit to Lamar yet. Unless if you have a sure fire guy like Josh Allen, Herbert, Mahomes, teams are going to be hesitant on giving out these massive $50 million a year deals.

As someone looking to learn more about offense and scheming to a QBs strengths, is there anything the coaching staff can do schematically to help Hurts progress through his reads. Or is this the ceiling with him?

Prescott is out.

Doubtful during the season he's relying on myelination unfortunately.

Hurts is absolutely in the MVP hunt right now.

regardless of blame shifting, the statement was that Hurts made enough throws to win. That was determined to be incorrect. His offense scored less than the other offense.

Doing enough to win means the player was not the reason for the loss or the reason the game was close. Hurts did enough for the team to win. If he had committed turnovers and put the defense in bad positions I would agree that he didn’t.

Levels concepts. They did it last year, I can’t say whether it worked or not overall but I remember a couple of times that it didn’t help at all.

he definitely shares the blame for that.

Fun fact: no QB MVP candidate has ever won the award while throwing zero TDs...yet!

This iteration of Dallas' post-season window is shut.

It's our time.

But MVP RBs have.

Little early for MVP talk.

I always like to wait 4 weeks before crowning who's good and who's not.  There are teams and players that looked good week 1 but it won't last.
