Basically three guys in run support got blocked and the fourth whiffed.

If he's attacking the C, he didn't do much to keep him from getting to the 2nd level.  If he's filling the correct gap he still should be aware of a likely trap block coming to him.  It's a good play design that takes advantage of a penetrating DT.

Why is the OL getting confused by the blitz? Is Kelce or Hurts the one calling protections?

Maybe that's not something they're all that concerned about. Plausible that a coach wouldn't be as preoccupied with an injury to a player if said player wasn't someone that was hand-picked by him and wasn't the type of player the coach is married to philosophically.

Or, our RBs didn't recognize their blocking assignments or Kelce is telling the truth or Detroit out coached the Eagles coaches. There are more than 1 flaws on this team and even with his many weaknesses, Hurts was not the biggest one in game 1by a long shot.

I think the o-line at times did a poor job calling protections to pick up the pass rush.

I will say, yesterday felt like a sink or swim moment. They drew up a system/scheme to beat the lions and Hurts failed. Almost like a test to see if he could make presnap reads, make anticpation throws and have some pocket awareness. FAILED!

He cares, just not as much as he would care if Hurts was actually good and could properly execute his ideal offense.

You are likely very correct.  Hurts may be completely expendable in their minds.  Use him and lose him.   Which is another reason why trading for a first round pick from another team would be beneficial.  They can try to win as much as they can without completely destroying their ability to draft a QB.    We just need the Saints to suck!

Saints seem to have Brady's number in TB though... Crazy to think they might find their way to 2-0 with the way they started out yesterday.

Joe Decamere was speculating earlier about the Cowboys trading for Foles.  That would be some great drama to have.  Wentz in Washington and Foles in Dallas.  Eagles QB Factory would be supplying most of the division.

It says Tommy McDonald had a 237 yard game in 1960.  That seems hard to believe as well.
