I think with the WR core we got, he’s going to be getting a lot of targets, especially in the redzone. Hurts will be checking down to him often. I’m expecting him to clean up the drops. There’s no one on the defense I’m really excited about. Sorry just can’t find myself to get excited about rookies I’m intrigued to see what Epps is all about. Hard to tell if he’s the tallest midget or if he actually improved his game.

Yup Hopefully Cox plays better, he won't be playing much if any Zero tech this year. Should be playing 4i 5 tech maybe some 3 tech with Davis and Hargrave doing the NT stuff Hargrave played nose in Steelers 34 and Cox had one of his better seasons playing RE in Billy Davis 34. Either way the LBs as you say should benefit from the DL this year.

August 30, 20223 yr Hargrave needs to step up and be a consistent disrupter up the middle. I think his play will be key for the defense as a whole. I’m not expecting much from Cox at this point. He’ll still be above average but he is fading. I just can’t expect anything from Davis early on. It’ll be a combo of him figuring things out and our coaching staff figuring out what to do with him.

I really liked the blitz that was called up in the first half which was led by Davis absorbing a OL. Nifty little play....too bad it wasn't replayed on my feed.
August 30, 20223 yr Alright...in honor of Carson Strong; everyone post your list of players that you really liked, but amounted to nothing. We spend every post offering ITYS, let's do some mea culpas... My list of players I really liked that were no good: - Mack Hollins - Shelton Gibson. - Chance Warmack (I wanted to buy into his draft hype so badly) - Ryan Moats. I said he had bricks for hands from day 1 (any got crap for it), but man I thought that guy could run. - Matt Barkley. Sort of the original Carson Strong...different types of players, similar circumstances. Despite the arm strength issues, I thought he had a release and accuracy that might take him places. - Quintin Demps. He carved out a career for himself and was better than no good, but the ratio of how much I liked that pick to what he accomplished here still fits. Honorable mention for the same reasons to King Dunlap and Andy Studebaker from the same draft. I really liked the back end of that draft. - Wendell Smallwood. Compared him to Buckhalter. I worry that Milton Williams will one day make an appearance on this list.

If he stays healthy, and his QB progresses to someone that can pass the football, he could be a top 5 tight end in the league. He might be already with his insane blocking ability, but he would never get the public recognition that the other ones get since they have QBs that can actually throw the football forward. Given he was on a 1,000 yard pace with this QB, that's really not the issue. The problem Goedert will have garnering attention is the same one Witten had - because he's not a flashy speedster (for a TE), and blocking tends to go unnoticed except by "real" fans and websites like PFF, it'll take a few years before Goedert gets acknowledged as a top TE (if he can stay healthy). But after a few seasons, everyone realized how good Witten was, the same witll happen with Goedert if he can play 16-17 games a year.

I still think on most teams he’s the 3rd safety. Hoping he shows us something more. Safety has been/is a disaster not just last year, this year, but next year and onward. Really need to invest there. I don’t see how they go from a strong offer for Marcus Williams to signing/cutting Tartt and leaving us with what we have now. Something has to be in the works.

Thats why some use the tagging, and PMing feature more than others. Recruitment of like minded individuals to join them, and add likes. And if there were a downvote button... The main difference is that reddit incorporates that stuff in to the algorithm to determine which posts are seen, or buried. Here, its nothing but a dopamine rush with no real effect on the website. I don't do reddit, so I don't know these things. But a downvote button would be outstanding. There should be 3 upvote emojis and 3 downvote emojis to select from.

I wouldn’t expect anything major, at least this year. It seems like they were in on Williams, pivoted and monitored Mathieu and then changed gears and went Bradberry. Had they landed a better S we likely would have Xavier Rhodes or someone at CB2

Defensively I agree, but Josh Sweat if I had to pick someone. The attention on Redick may help him.

Had they landed a better S we likely would have Xavier Rhodes or someone at CB2 Every team has this dilemma under the Cap, you have only so many high draft picks, and so many players you can pay $10M or more - so you have to choose which spots do you go thin and inexperienced? Howie prioritizes the lines first, he's managed to build a solid LB group on the cheap, he spent on CBs and WRs, so he had to go cheap on RBs and Safeties.

I think he's outstanding, but he's also not (yet) a high end offensive weapon, just a very good one, has some hand/consistency issues, and some availability issues. And he'll turn 28 at the end of this season while still getting listed as a breakout candidate. He's already very good for what he is, but I just feel like he's also one of those perennial breakout candidates.

Confused face is more like "uhhh what….?” or to signify a dumb comment. The laughing face is everything in between.
