Well, when they're cranking off 10 yards per rush there isn't much reason to abandon it.

Yea I don't understand why they think the Lions would go away when the defense couldn't stop

Can Hurts rush the passer? He certainly can't pass

He’s a passer who only rushes.  Does that make him a pass rusher?

What's the deal with Everson Griffen anyways?  He had 5 sacks in 6 games last week

Old. Has mental health issues.

Who could possibly come available that would fix the DE position long term?  And at what cost?

That’s what I’m wondering. Every year it seems a player becomes available or is traded that no one saw coming.

If he just rushes then maybe use him as an edge rusher?

Also, how long is Milton Williams leash?  I've been less than impressed by him.

The Hurts apologists like to act like people that want better QB play "expect Hurts to be Allen or Mahomes or Brady” but the reality is that there are a bunch of QBs in the league that display the traits needed to succeed in the league. Even frickin Davis Mills made throws yesterday that I’d LOVE to see from Hurts. The list of QBs playing "NFL football” is a lot longer than the list of guys that aren’t.

To be fair, I kinda think Herbert now belongs in that top tier with Mahomes and Allen as part of the next crop of up and coming QBs that will dominate the rest of the league for the next several years.

Time to pencil them in for a high motor edge rusher with middling athleticism for the first round of the 2023 draft.

Herberts and Mahomes grow on trees we just need to get ours next year, so exciting. Still can’t believe it wasn’t Carson strong

He's probably tired, that's a lot of games in a week.

We aren't a Von Miller away from a Super Bowl, so I just don't see that as feasible.  And unlike RBs, young DEs are hard to come by, so I don't see a 25 year old being made available.

He's going to be getting a lot more snaps at DE now that Barnett is out.

If St Brown and Swift made us look silly, imagine what Jefferson and Cook will do.

Yep it could be a bloodbath on national TV.

Howie has gotten gassed up so much this off-season he may think we’re close to being SB contenders. I agree with you though, a young pass rusher becoming available isn’t likely.

They're freaking cheat codes. A lot of the throws those 3 can make are ridiculous

O/U Kirk Cousins completion percentage. Set it at 80%

@LeanMeanGM

Vikings- 31

Eagles - 35

Bonus: Thielen 2 TD

@LeanMeanGM

Vikings 31

Eagles 24

Hurts piles up stats in the 4th quarter with the Eagles down 3+ scores.

I don't get this narrative about "guys like Allen and Mahomes and Herbert are unicorns", like they're as uncommon as looking for a Yeti or discovering plutonium in the backyard.

NONE of those QBs were even drafted in the top 5 -- you develop them.  You find guys with elite measurables, and you coach and develop them.  It isn't rocket science.
