The LDT tries to hit the A gap on the other side of center, where Dickerson stones him. I have to think this was a mistake by the DT. He should hit the A gap in front of him to pressure Seumalo rather than leave him free to take the rusher outside. The one I was referencing led to the DT being essentially a free rusher at Hurts. Appreciated.
September 12, 20223 yr K'Lavon Chaisson could be a guy to keep an eye on. Also Jonathan Greenard would be a nice grab if the Texans become sellers.

At what point does it stop and you say hmmmmmm thats just who Hurts is What does anything in your rambling post have to do with my post that you quoted to write this reply? I write a post about Jon Gannon and you're rambling about Hurts.

They mostly let them play. And if people want to gripe out not getting late hits called, Lions fans can gripe about a few missed intentional grounding and delay of game penalties. I am just pointing out the discrepancy between the calls and attributing it to refs viewing the QB as a runner.

September 12, 20223 yr @Iggles_Phan. I believe this is the play you were talking about. It's on the last possession before the half. Lions have the double rushers on their defensive left. Kelce turns to his right. The DT in the middle is Dickerson's guy but he's looking at the MLB. By the time he realizes his mistake it's too late. The DT is by him. Witha free run at Hurts, while Dickerson is all alone. You miss a block like that, it's a horrible feeling. You can lose your QB for the year. Hurts bails him out. And gains about 10 yards. It is possible that Kelce and not Dickerson made the mistake but I don't think so. In any case, missed communication. In a situation as loud as that, it's hard to tell.

September 12, 20223 yr Chris Long sounds willing to return. Not sure how much help he would be at this point. Also not sure if he really wants to play a whole season. I'd guess he prefers to jump in around playoff time. I think I remember seeing Jemoko Turray released. Thought he is a solid player.

September 12, 20223 yr You know what a team should do? Try to be crafty and sign Cooper Rush off Dallas practice squad before they can protect him or sign him to the 53. I know the Cowboys would just match the offer and put him on their 53, but it would be funny if it somehow worked and Dallas had no QB's on their roster. 5 minutes ago, HazletonEagle said: Chris Long sounds willing to return. Found it, not as much as I originally thought as long as its still muscle weight

Looks like it was on him. To be expected, he's still not seen a ton of stuff from the DL stunts, etc.

That would be good stuff, and I know a team who has an extra roster spot.

How long since he last played? 2018 was his final season, right? I just think that would hurt his legacy here as part of the best Eagles' season in a lifetime.
