This is on the first drive:

Lane Takes the outside guy, Seumalo takes the inside guy. The LDT tries to hit the A gap on the other side of center, where Dickerson stones him. I have to think this was a mistake by the DT. He should hit the A gap in front of him to pressure Seumalo rather than leave him free to take the rusher outside.

The one I was referencing led to the DT being essentially a free rusher at Hurts.

Appreciated.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

K'Lavon Chaisson could be a guy to keep an eye on. Also Jonathan Greenard would be a nice grab if the Texans become sellers.

He's probably going to have to burn a 3rd or 4th round pick on a 1-2 year rental DE in the coming weeks.

Horrible idea

just give the draft picks some run and see what they can do

That's what I would do, but I think Howie will trade for someone proven.

Yup, I really don't see them being much worse than Barnett.

So you guys miss Shwartz yet?

Thats probably the 54th benefit of the doubt you've given him

You gave him on against the Giants last season cause of growth

You gave hum one against Tampa in the playoffs cause he got us there

you said something similar and gave him the benefit in preseason, that he probably worked hard in the summer

Now it's, it's the first game.

At what point does it stop and you say hmmmmmm thats just who Hurts is

What does anything in your rambling post have to do with my post that you quoted to write this reply?  I write a post about Jon Gannon and you're rambling about Hurts.

Off the top of my head, I think the refs actually did a solid job (minus the Hockensen catch but I think that was mostly due to the call on the field). They mostly let them play. And if people want to gripe out not getting late hits called, Lions fans can gripe about a few missed intentional grounding and delay of game penalties.

I am just pointing out the discrepancy between the calls and attributing it to refs viewing the QB as a runner.

I still miss JJ.

I don't think anyone proven would be available for a reasonable price.

I am just using you as a jumping off point.

We had a great Dline with Schwartz but that secondary was beyond frustrating

@Iggles_Phan.

I believe this is the play you were talking about. It's on the last possession before the half. Lions have the double rushers on their defensive left.

Kelce turns to his right. The DT in the middle is Dickerson's guy but he's looking at the MLB.

By the time he realizes his mistake it's too late. The DT is by him.

Witha free run at Hurts, while Dickerson is all alone. You miss a block like that, it's a horrible feeling. You can lose your QB for the year.

Hurts bails him out.

And gains about 10 yards.

It is possible that Kelce and not Dickerson made the mistake but I don't think so. In any case, missed communication. In a situation as loud as that, it's hard to tell.

I mean, any Eagles fan should know that is not the case, I wouldn't have even needed to look it up.

I was finding it quite hard to believe. But I am no stats junky.

Yannick?

Chris Long sounds willing to return.  Not sure how much help he would be at this point.

Also not sure if he really wants to play a whole season. I'd guess he prefers to jump in around playoff time.

I think I remember seeing Jemoko Turray released.  Thought he is a solid player.

My first thought was Desean's 200 yard game against Dallas in 2010.

You know what a team should do? Try to be crafty and sign Cooper Rush off Dallas practice squad before they can protect him or sign him to the 53. I know the Cowboys would just match the offer and put him on their 53, but it would be funny if it somehow worked and Dallas had no QB's on their roster.

I think I remember him saying he dropped a ton of weight from his playing days recently. I'll see if I can find it.

Found it, not as much as I originally thought as long as its still muscle weight

Thanks.  That's the one.  I thought it was on either Kelce or Dickerson.  Watching live, I thought Dickerson turned to his left.  Seems not.   Looks like it was on him.   To be expected, he's still not seen a ton of stuff from the DL stunts, etc.

That would be good stuff, and I know a team who has an extra roster spot.

😬.  How long since he last played?  2018 was his final season, right?  I just think that would hurt his legacy here as part of the best Eagles' season in a lifetime.

I don't know if Colts would do it, but all they traded for him was Rock Ya-Sin. That's the equivalent of what, a 4th?
