Maybe Gordon rides the pine now for fumbling.

Denver wants it to be like a 55-45 (in Williams favor) timeshare between Williams and Gordon. I think Williams is the better back at this stage of their careers. I imagine as the season wears on they eventually give him more and more touches than Gordon and it becomes 65-35

Williams was overdrafted by anyone who too him early in the 2nd (unless it’s a 12 team heavy RB league)

Hurts was the best version of himself yesterday. I can’t fault him for it. He played like a legit 2nd round pick and won the game.

AJ > DK :P

Ole Miss somehow didn't win with DK, Brown and Elijah Moore.

running the ball.

We want to see Hurts be a better quarterback.

We did see that.  We will continue to see that as the season goes on as well.  All offseason people complaining he doesn't go over the middle but he was hitting AJ Brown over the middle.  Complaining about his deep ball accuracy but he hit AJ Brown perfectly down the field at the end of the first half.  He has an it factor to make plays when they are needed in order to keep a drive alive.

I didn’t touch him until the 3rd round in any draft (10 or 12 team) knowing that they would split Gordon and his touches. Talent wise i think Williams could be a beast. But Denver brought back gordon so i knew they’d make it 55-45 type timeshare to at least start the year.

And Dawson Knox!

Gotta be fuuken kidding me...

Lol. Pete Carroll is like, "That’s why I called a pass at the 1 in the Super Bowl!”

Maybe they’ll give Gordon more carries since Williams coughed it up.

thats so dumb. Buffalo did that to Cook too. He got 1 carry early in the 1st quarter. Fumbled, and never got another touch the rest of the game.

Unreal.

Like watching peewee football with the Broncos when they get to the goal line

They have DeVonta Smith, AJ Brown and Quez Watkins and dialed up exactly one deep ball.  Is that on Sirianni?  Does he not trust Jalen to throw it?  Did they call deep balls but the pressure got there first?  The throws over the middle were more like quick slants to Brown.  Where are the seam routes?  Where are the deep ins?  Post routes?  TE hitch?

Again, Hurts legs were the difference yesterday.  I'm not denying that.  The pick 6 was also the difference if we want to nitpick.  However, you have to wonder how many of those scrambles could have been big passing gains if he would keep his eyes down field.  He was a running quarterback first, passing quarterback second.

I don't know why it's so hard to see that Hurts, while he played a solid game, has MUCH work to do as a quarterback.

I’ve had gordon in past years in fantasy and lost when he fumbled at the goaline and another time got stopped 3 straight times from the one.

It was sarcasm.  Look back on the last page.  Iggles25 said the same thing after Gordon fumbled.  He has Williams in our fantasy match up.

I know.

But Im saying, its stupid when coaches do it.

I see if a guy has more than 1, or has done it week after week.

A rookie on his 1st carry doesnt need to be benched? Did he have a fumbling problem in college? If that was going to be an issue for you then why did you draft him?

Did he not have a fumbling problem in college? Then why are you not going to play the kid after he fumbles once?

32 pass attempts to 17 rushes.  243 passing yards to 96 rushing yards.  He was a passing QB first, running QB second.  The offense play calling in the first half reverted back to the offense for most of the first 6 games last year where it placed a completely unsustainable heavy load on Hurts.  Hurts showed himself to be a winner that was able to consistently move the offense down the field throughout the game.

Cook was a beast at Georgia. Never had issues with ball security. I was surprised that he got ghosted after that play.

yeah. dumb.

But also, he doesnt really need to carry the ball. Hes not so good at that. They definitely should have gotten him involved in the passing game though.

Keep telling yourself he was a passing QB first.  He wasn't.  Watch the highlights.  He NEVER keeps his eyes downfield when he scrambles.  That's textbook running QB first.

That Williams TD would have basically sealed the win this week.

With less than 1% chance of winning now, go Seahawks! Geno Era! How embarrassing for Russ lol

Why does darby keep making plays tonight?
