I actually agree with Ryan Clark (actually said it to my friend when watching the game live) that was the best I’ve seen mahomes play since his mvp year. He’s had some good and even great performances since then. But he was unstoppable in that chiefs-cardinals game.

It's dudes like you trolling with Hurts being MVP that is sparking negative feedback on Hurts. You're instigating it.

When the Chiefs catch up with the new college offenses that will dominate the NFL, instead of throwing for 4 TD's against the blitz, Mahomes will instead run for 27 yards.

September 13, 20223 yr I need Hurts to throw 2 picks on Monday. Even one would be great... it'll put me even

September 13, 20223 yr Not that i think the giants do it but the first 10 games gives them an excellent shot at being 5-5 or 6-4 after being able to pull off the upset in Tennessee. next 9 games vs. carolina vs. Dallas without dak vs. Bears at Green Bay Vs. Baltimore at jags at seahawks vs. Houston vs. lions there’s really 2 games i could say they are definitively not going to win at this moment. The rest they have a shot in every single one of them as i don’t think any of those teams are very good. Not that the giants are.

A debate between Hurts and Minshew is interesting and germane. Other than those two options, do you expect the coaches to say that they have sub par talent and that everyone should expect a sub par performance and that winning doesn't matter? The basis of competitive sports is to compete to the best of one's ability. Yes, Hurts isn't very good and frankly, neither is Minshew. The draft focused more on D than I this year and hopefully next year, the O takes a step up. I'm not trying to be argumentative. I agree with your assessment of Hurts. I would just say that there are things that can be changed this season, like a new DC, and things that cannot, like getting a top tier QB. All in all, my opinion is that Gannon is a worse DC than Hurts a QB and I don't know why the board isn't blowing up about his inability to use the talent he has been given. Focused on defense? Davis, Dean and K. Johnson on D and a sixth for one of the DBs that Howie stocked up on. Two draft choices for Brown, including a first, Jurgens and Calcaterra Hardly a defense focus. One year contracts and the CGJ one year trade, focused on defense. Flex tape fixes (credit to @Iggles_Phan for the term). If in a deep corner and DL draft, Howie focuses on the Offense, he should be fired.

I suggest something better suited for you such as gymnastics or figure skating where you can just grade the scores based on style instead of the actual on field result determining the outcomes of contests.

We greatly avoided injuries headed into the season, but injuries are part of the game and they are always going to happen. However, if major injuries happen over training camp and pre-season, that gives the team much more options and time to adjust the roster. With Barnett done for the year, the Eagles have very limited options and only a week to patch something together. Will be interesting to see how this lighter off-season program works out over the course of the season, but I think the slow start, multiple stupid penalties, awful tackling, and OL miss communications are due to the starters not playing for almost a month. We will see how they respond next week, but so far I'm not sure if there is a significant competitive advantage. There's no question that the team looked underprepared. That doesn't even take into account the 2 delay of game calls which are inexcusable. It's game one and a lot of teams looked bad that were supposed to be better. The Eagles should win 3 out of their first 4 games. The Vikings are the hardest one for them and probably the best team out of their first 8 games. If they look as bad on Monday night on defense as they did against Detroit, Gannon should be gone before they fly home. I expect the o-line should look better next week. I am not expecting some genius level play calling from Steichen but if he's competent the offense should be productive.
