We’re the best rushing team in the conference. Same as last year. We still suck at throwing the football. Same as last year.
September 13, 20223 yr Just watched condensed game here's my initial reaction. Hurts is an idiot, so many times he could have stepped up in the pocket and made a big play down field but instead immediately tucked and ran, one time didn't even let the ay develop was no pressure just saw a lane In front of him and took off, at least 3 times never got past his first read not a ton of pressure and just tucked and ran, frustrating to watch. Had one throw travel more than 15 yards, not sure why steichen is calling designed QB runs unless near the goal line when the QB takes off every other snap anyway, hurts isn't tall enough or doesn't have a high enough release point or both to get it over his o line consistently from the pocket. RBs looked good, all ran hard didn't have any mistakes Brown is a beast, Smith looked disinterested, I couldn't even tell you when Watkins was in the game don't think hurts ever got past his first progression the whole game and Watkins was never the first. Also I'm guessing anybody is a better option at KR than Watkins? Goedert and Stoll can run block, Goedert continues to impress with limited touches and rac up lots of yards after catch. Watching Mailata and Hutchinson was fun, most the pressure hutch got was inside on stunts and twists or he lined up Inside. Seumalo and Johnson seemed to have some miscommunication might take those two a few games to gel on that side, I thought Lane looked just as effective as ever. They were all pretty good in the run game. On Defense Hargrave was invisible, Cox made a couple plays in the 3rd but up until then and after was a non factor, I'm so tired of watching sweats ineffective flying superman punch pass rush, it generates zero pressure and if it's a run play totally takes him out of his run fit. Gannon is an idiot for ever dropping him in coverage. Graham looked ok, actually took on a couple double teams, Tui is so frustrating to watch he'll have a good snap then next play will get blocked 5 yards down field on a run play🤷♂️ not sure why Davis didn't play more, on the first goal line TD lions doubled him and ran as far away from him as possible. Also lions 3rd TD a pass in the 3rd qtr was an obvious false start refs no call🤷♂️ Epps plays with a lot of energy as does Gardner, I think they'll be a fun tandem to watch. For a guy named big play, slay sure does drop his fair number of ints. Bradberry is an upgrade over any #2corner the eagles have had since Sheldon brown Syposs meh... Elliot did his job. Covey looked better than any PR they've had since sproles. Gannon needs to pull his head out of his ass and figure out how to design a defense.

September 13, 20223 yr I'm pretty sure they will just stick with Watkins as the KR so he has something to do and keep him somewhat happy and interested in the game. There will be an occasional shot play on offense for him but unless there are injuries I don't expect he'll get more than a couple targets a game.

What are they going to do with Devonta to keep him happy and interested ?? Maybe he can tackle better than anyone in our secondary and we can move him to safety.
September 13, 20223 yr If the Vikings were able to get Jefferson lined up against Preston Smith, I imagine they'll find a way to get Jefferson 1 on 1 with Fletcher Cox and Marcus Epps playing DT against Gannon.

Once the first 10 plays are done it will go back to same old same old.

I think I saw that Hurts told Smith he'd get more targets next week. Hopefully that's true

I lived in PA for 25 years. You are the most pathetic clown I've ever talked football with. Even the Cowboys fans down here are a better conversation than you. So I live in Kansas and have been working at the state fair all week, this dudes wearing a cowboy hat and a Prescott jersey and I say to him, Bold choice wearing that here, and he looks at me and says, it's going to be a repeat... 🤔 A repeat of what??? Another first round playoff exit??? Cowboy fans are dumb as hell. On a positive note the vendor across from me is from Philly, she's cool as hell, when she told me she was from Philly she started telling me stories about the night she was working during the super bowl in Philly and how crazy it was, she also told me eagles fans in Philly dont say see you tomorrow or good night, they just say, go iggles!!! So each night we leave we say Go iggles to each other😁

September 13, 20223 yr In all seriousness...I need to see a game from Hurts where he stays in the pocket or at least keeps his eyes downfield and wins with his arm. Because if you're an opposing DC, you keep blitzing the hell outta him until he proves otherwise. Yes, he'll beat the blitz with his legs sometimes, but if he has to run even 10 times a game, he has no chance. He WILL get injured. And it won't take long. The only way to deal with the oncoming blitz will be for him to beat it with his arm. Or, letting our RBs and Oline wear down the defense. You can see it coming a mile away. And RTK is pounding his chest now, but he'll be singing a different tune when Hurts is carted off the field before September ends.

September 13, 20223 yr The whole Smith thing is interesting because I don't think he's necessarily upset in a diva-ish way like an Antonio Brown would be upset about not getting the ball in a selfish way. I think he's more wired in wanting to get targets because he want's to help the team. Not just run around and run block on 90% of the time.
