I noted that several posters complained that we didn't use motion. In point of fact, we used it a lot.

One nice wrinkle that Detroit used, When our slot receiver went in motion across the formation, the DB blitzed, every time, instead of following the receiver across the formation. Got a free runner at the QB several times.

Don’t disagree.  From what I could see of the CB play, coverage was tight and handsy. Will be able to get a better feel when the All 22 is available. Not impressed at all about the Eagles pass rush under Gannon.  Lions have a good OL but……. Only way his zone heavy defense works is with an aggressive collapse of the pocket.  I am curious to try and see what Man/match and Zone/match Gannon used and how much soft zone was evident.

Yup, that dude has a motor, watching him battle Mailata was fun.

I mentioned in an earlier post most Hutchinson's pressure came from inside on Twists and stunts.

I thought Mailata held his own and really stonewalled him a few times.

Hutch is no joke and either is Mailata.

Naw, Smith/Quez will be fine after this year, because we'll move on from this RB charade and get an actual QB who throws the ball. They'll be placated for one more year, at least.
