  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Yep. Level-headed analysis and breakdowns. It’s worth a click for everyone in here.

The first clip of the intermediate slant to Brown was Hurts' best throw all day.  The second clip of the deep throw to Brown, I wouldn't have given that throw an A++ because DeVonta Smith at the bottom of the screen is an easier throw and a TD pass with a decent throw.  Smith has his man beaten already, well before Hurts throws to Brown.

 Understatement of the century. I also like how you leave out all the times Hutch ended up peeling himself off the turf.

That happens to most DEs multiple times a game, especially against Mailata

Hutch isn't the first DE to get destroyed by Mailata and he won't be the last.

Pretty tough rookie debut going against Mailata.

It's not like hutch got pancaked by some  scrub, this is Jordan Mailata we're talking about one of the most physically imposing OL in the whole league.

Like I said hutch made some plays most of them not against Mailata.

Ryan is always a good Twitter follow.

First play of the thread, the Lions look like they are in a Cover 2 invert as the S drops to the flat and a good route by Sanders holds him to the sideline.  The LBs react to Goedert.  But watch Watkins.  His speed scares because when he sat in the flat and turned like he might have been the outlet, see how the DB freezes.  Those routes helped make the play work.  Next pass in his thread sure looks like off man with a single high S but the way both Ss converge on Goedert, it really looks like.Cover 5.  Goedert made that play work but then watch Watkins speed and how he draws the S to him initially.  It watch the RB.  For some reason both LBs cover him and he still manages to get a chip on the DE, who I think thought he would slip into the hole.  Real nice setup.  (Lions D looked real bad on the second play in the thread, almost like the disguise made them a step slow.

It's up to the QB to hand it off when it's not a clear choice to keep it and he didn't do that in the game.

It's up to the coaches to call the plays.

Anyone watch the All-22 (if its out) have any thoughts on Seumalo? He looked... not great on TV. Curious if its just a rust thing coming off injury/switching sides or if he just can't play RG.

I would doubt it. Even though it's a night game they usually wait till later in the year to go black.

I hate the idea of the all black Eagles unis and black helmet.   That's not my team.

Looks more like Cover-1 Robber with Walker drifting deep. Inverted Cover 2 would have both corners bailing deep and both safeties covering the hook/flat zones.

He was always great in here.  I follow several former Bloggers, D20, GoEagles, NDIrish and Slynch (Ryan, Tommy, Matt Alkire and Sam Lynch). Matt’s back from vacation and putting up some good college clips now.  I recommend his site too but most of his film is up on Twitter

I'm expecting it to be a Color Rush Thursday night game against the Texans with red helmets and uniforms

I'd love to hear someone explain why Howie is involved in the defensive game plan.

Back when he played DT, the game was much tougher, but now it’s passed him by.

Absolute clown show

And that might be why we don't have Vic Fangio.  You think Vic would invite Howie to the game planning process?

the Texans have introduced red helmets this year, coincidentally the same season the Eagles introduced black helmets. They'll be shown off on a Thursday night Color Rush game.

I don't know if they ever have done it on the road though. Could be wrong on that but it seems like it's always home games and against the Giants.

It's almost like the NFL doesn't want people to watch the Thursday Night games.

That would be if they decided to do an "ESPN MNF: The Body" game
