Colts cut their kicker Blankenship for missing the FG attempt in OT.

Never mind the first 3 quarters of the game that Matt Ryan slept through, I guess ....

He has the exact frame you’d want for a DE, but he’s pretty stiff. A fine player to bring in for a look-see. Was hoping we could get him to our PS when he was cut.

Here's some positive vibes. We have 2 1st rd picks in a loaded qb draft next year

Yeah I'm more than happy with the way Howie has managed things in the offseason. We've amplified major flex in the 2 upcoming drafts. And here's another push on the positive vibe... Just imagine Hurts working out and we can utilise our '23 first round picks on DE and another position of need, coupled with our '24 first round and 2x second round picks on further needs. Exciting times ahead with Howie in charge. At least I strongly believe so.

Geno Smith is officially in the lead for league MVP.

Has infinite more passing TD's, and a higher passer rating and QBR than Hurts.

@LeanMeanGM vikings 42 eagles 24

Prediction: I am sticking by my reagor 100 yard game prediction. But since that is my season guess, for this particular game I will also say Smith has less than 5 targets again.

Post-snap, no. But pre-snap that's the look they gave but he dropped into the flat. You can even see Malaita's head turned toward the outside in that second frame from your post.

True. But He did not block his guy. He set outside too soon. Period. It was a mistake. I posted another sequence where Dickerson whiffed. It happens, especially early.

Cue the work harder, longer practice, play starters guys. This is good evidence for your argument.

Random question. How do waivers work with signing players off of practice squads? Are all the teams ahead of you in the waiver order alerted and given a chance to sign him when you put the claim in? Or does it get immediately approved?

Waivers are over. You claim, you get the player, unless he refuses, which happens. Players have to clear waivers before going to the PS.

We are talking about signing players off practice squads.  Waivers do not apply.

Jordan Davis snaps.

He doesn't seem too comfortable right now, but Ragnow is also pretty damn good. Does a decent job of clogging up the middle, i'd like to see more aggressiveness with him but think that will happen as the season goes on and he starts to settle in.

Thanks. This kinda confirms what I thought about the "rush YPA with Davis on the field vs off". There was some good stops but there were Two 1 yard runs on the goal line, as well as one that was 4 yards to the endzone that would have been a lot more if it was in the open field. That's going to skew things quite a bit when he was already limited in snaps, and not every snap was even a rush.

Ugh, that was real ugly. He looks sooo slowww.

I wasn't going to say it... but since you did cue it up so nicely.

Hurts is supposedly not a finished product, but is ascending.  He needs reps.   He needs to work on staying in the pocket, and where better to work on that than a PS game where there's no real downside to INTs, bad throws, sacks, etc.
Mailata is still way behind in total football played against any one he ever lines up against.  More reps can only help that deficit.
Dickerson is entering year 2.  He's far from a finished product.
Jurgens would get more out of working with the ones than with the twos.
Seumalo was flipping side to RG.
Dillard needs RT reps.

These guys should have played more PS games.   Simple as that.

He’s a 360 lb DT - what do you expect? Actually at the 2 minute mark he moves pretty good for someone his size. Not sure if you were being sarcastic.

He looked pretty good to me, considering it was his first NFL game.  Have to remember Frank Ragnow is one of the better centers in the NFL and did a very good job against him without much help at all.

Not sarcastic at all. I see no first step quickness or lateral agility whatsoever. If we wants to earn more snaps he has to show he can be capable of collapsing the pocket at some point, but so far, he's leaving a lot to be desired there.

Not sure if anyone posted this yet.  Time to see what he thinks.

He sounds different than last year. Actually enunciating words and not mumbling as much.

Why didn't he say, "Go Iggles"?   🤔

Oh, I know.  The answer is simple though... people around here don't say "Go Iggles".  People say "Go Birds".  (That's why it's in the show) I've lived here my whole life and I can't remember anyone ever going with the phrase 'Go Iggles".  It's either an Eagles cheer... or Go Birds.    I see someone random walking around any part of the country with Eagles' gear on... I toss them a simple, "Go Birds".  They respond, "Go Birds".

Who thinks that we can win games with him just playing mistake free football and depending on the rest of the team to carry him??

And if people really think that then he isn't a good QB. Stopped watching after he said put the team on his back with his legs. THAT'S NOT WHAT A QB IS SUPPOSED TO DO

I'm just stuck on the Howie helping Gannon with the defensive gameplan.

He looks lost more than anything but he’s probably thinking too much and not just reacting. The whole DL didn’t play so well. He needs reps, and coming out of camp cupcake he didn’t get those.

#metoo.

I mean seriously how many other teams bring in the accountant to help with the D gameplan???
