And you add that to the fact that Howie has final say of who dresses on Sunday or has a major influence on the gameday roster and it just makes it even worse. Do what you do well which is trade former high draft picks for 5th rounders and let the coaches coach. Can't wait to see Howie get praise next year when DeVonta Smith demands a trade and they get a 4th round nickel CB in return.

And if people really think that then he isn't a good QB. Stopped watching after he said put the team on his back with his legs. THAT'S NOT WHAT A QB IS SUPPOSED TO DO Jalen wasn't carried by the rest of the team on Sunday. The Eagles won that game in large part due to Jalen making plays throughout that game.

Completely separate point. He made plays with his legs rather than his arm, that isn't sustainable and isn't going to win playoff games

I’m far from sold on Hurts, but some of you would bash him if he threw for 30/30 600 yards and 9 TDs. Not trying to single you out but you have to give credit where credit is due. Hurts had a good game and we won despite a disappointing performance in several other areas. Pass protection, D-Line play, and tackling all sucked.

He can't even do that in Madden on rookie mode
September 13, 20223 yr Is this the week Hurts stays in the pocket and delivers the ball with accuracy? Nah just playin

He needs to work on staying in the pocket, and where better to work on that than a PS game where there's no real downside to INTs, bad throws, sacks, etc. Mailata is still way behind in total football played against any one he ever lines up against. More reps can only help that deficit. Dickerson is entering year 2. He's far from a finished product. Jurgens would get more out of working with the ones than with the twos. Seumalo was flipping side to RG. Dillard needs RT reps. These guys should have played more PS games. Simple as that. Seems like those joint practices don't help with rust lol 1 hour ago, Texas Eagle said: He sounds different than last year. Actually enunciating words and not mumbling as much. September 14, 20223 yr This QB performance seems objectively better than the usual from last year with some throws over the middle, to the left and a nice deep ball - but where are the intermediate passes? No INTs, but Hurt’s clock still seems to run fast and I didn’t see much success throwing hot (which will be game planned by our opponents until he figures it out). His running ability broke the Lions defense - but very little about this game gave me confidence that we could get by TB in a rematch. The D has a lot to prove this week - wow.

It’s all because the Dolphins got sick and we missed out on a wonderful joint practice opportunity. Don’t pay attention that the Dolphins blew out the Birds in that pre-season game anyways.

September 14, 20223 yr Why was the team so unprepared to play the Lions? Starters had an entire month and the coaches had 2 weeks from the last preseason game. Kelce said something along the lines that the blitzes confused them because they hadn’t seen it before. The defense gave up a TD and the offense didn’t do anything on their first series. They certainly were lucky it was just the Lions, but they won’t be so lucky against the Vikings if they prepare the same way.

Most of the worst problems were on defense; they played like tackling has been outlawed

They certainly were lucky it was just the Lions, but they won’t be so lucky against the Vikings if they prepare the same way. The lions always play crazy week 1 games. In 2019, they were up 24-6 before the cardinals came back and the game ended in a 27-27 tie in 2020, the lions were up 23-6 over the bears. The bears came back to beat the lions 27-23 in 2021, the niners were up 38-10 and 41-17. Lions got it back to 41-33. (Recovered an onside to score to make it 41-33). Then deebo fumbled and they nearly came all the way back. eagles didn’t play great defensively and it was much closer then it needed to be. But the lions during week one have made it a habit.
