EMB Blog: 2022 Regular Season (and beyond?) - NO POLITICS

Production, improvement over time and projection; at certain positions, you need more than a little improvement to justify paying them what the market rate is.  Fletcher Cox would be playing elsewhere if I was GM; he's not what he was and production is meh. Alex Singleton is work hard guy, but is what he is and elsewhere. Kelce deserved that contract in the offseason.

Paying limited players top dollar is what we razz the Cowboys, Giants and Commies for doing.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Yeah the biggest head scratcher of the entire offseason is why we brought Cox back.  He is a shell of his former self and doesn't exactly have the best work ethic at this stage of his career.

No sir. May have been B.a.Carty2, but I've been Bacarty since 2nd grade. Teach made a crack when they saw my name Brandon A. Carty and I had to go home and ask my dad what Bacardi was

Now I know your true identity. No hiding from me now. Sir Brandon of Steelers country

You really shouldn't be giving out so much personal info on a message board my guy. Announcing your full name and home address is a questionable choice.

That’s crazy! I know a Brandon Carty too! What’s your social security number so I can make sure it’s not the same person? Also, you won a prize! Send me your bank info so I can transfer it into your account!

He's living on legend, and it's an expensive one for a player who kind of disappears for stretches now.  Let him live on someone else dime now

You're assuming I still live there and thats my full name.

That's more than enough to find ya. But you do you. Just don't get upset when you wake up one night and find bobeph naked in your driveway 12 white claws deep and looking for a fight.

Is it appropriate to say Let's Go Brandon?

Why we brought him back for $14M… I’m okay with him in a rotation, but he should be shedding snaps.

He offered to meet a fellow blogger in the parking lot before a preseason game and fight him with his 7 year old watching, do you think he cares about that ??

Wow. Rough 12 hours for someone on here. Sheesh.

Yeah they just adjust out all the bad passes lol

The worst part is 83.3% is 5/6.  Hurts completed 18 passes, so the only way to have an adjusted completion percentage of 83.3% (5/6) is to randomly ADD completions.  So they must have put him at 20/24 by taking out "batted passes, throwaways, drops, etc., etc.," and added completions on .... pretty-looking throws??  Maybe he gets completions assigned by running faster?

Ohh just take the kids with ya. If they can handle watching fights in parking lots, they can handle Bill Burr 😉

I think one of the greatest what ifs of the last 20 years or so in football is what if Reid had Vick from day 1 of Vick's career, and how differently things might've gone. Though, the off field stuff probably still happens.

Would have been fascinating to see.  Those Eagles teams always had tremendous veteran leadership too.  You think if Vick had guys like Troy Vincent and Brian Dawkins around he might have had a better chance of getting away from the dog fighting culture?

The Vikings last year had one of the worst run defenses in the league, giving up 130.7 yards per game.

They also favour a zone blitzing scheme, which is the best way to shut down Hurts running.

So, we should see a game plan that attacks their run d, using our actual RBs. They could be in for a big night.

No, I think the dog fighting thing was a result of his old childhood friends never growing out of their situation, and dragging him down with them. I don't know that other players were even aware of it honestly.

Well if Sirianni was his coach he probably would have been in prison after his rookie year. #DawgMentality

Yeah Hurts should get over 100.

Except if last game is any indication the coaches will come out with a gameplan to only hand it off to the RBs several times in the first half.

RPO offense, the QB is the one who has the option, but he is to busy trying to be Superman.

Hey dummy, you do realize that often times racist behavior isn't a result of malicious intent. Not all racism is a guy in a white hood. Society, upbringing, media in the 80's and 90's, etc has conditioned a lot of people to look differently at and fear minorities. This is just a fact and a lot of people indirectly judge and feel differently about black people as a result.

Simply thinking that a successful QB should be a 6'5 250 pound white guy who throws from the pocket versus a 6'2 220 pound athletic black QB who runs a lot is absolutely racist behavior indirect or not. This has been going on forever and to this day in 2022 still goes on when you have people who won't even admit that Hurts is an above average QB in the NFL and Lamar Jackson is elite. That's where these clowns expose themselves considering the majority also have negative things to say about Lamar Jackson. Hell I would be willing to bet anything that the majority of these clowns who obsess over Hurts and **** about him every waking moment think Carson Wentz is a better QB. Gee I wonder why.

Insulting post full of pathetic projection coming in 5,4,3,2,1.....

While it can seem like that from a hundred foot level, that really is not the case. What it really is, is a bunch of old guys that have difficulty embracing a different style of QB.

Their comfort is in wrapping themselves up in completion percentages and snuggling close to terms like 'cannon arm'. Since a 'running QB' has not won a Super Bowl, then it is completely out of the question for that to ever happen, so it is pointless to even try.

Sure hope the Lone Star was on sale. Was a crappy beer before they got bought but because of the recyclable bottles were cheaper than Shiner and Pearl.  Nowadays I would drink Shiner. If you like moonshine, I suspect you drink bourbon. Venture out to Hye to Garrison Brothers.  Do their tour.  The sample in the distillery is young bourbon, not moonshine but closer.  Their single barrel is a great young bourbon but their double barrel and cowboy are great bourbons.  If you like wine or beer venture closer to Fredericksburg.  They really don’t grow the grapes there. Those are high plains.  Best Tempranillo in the country.  Great wine for Spanish tapas or Mexican food.  The German based beers from the local breweries are pretty damn good.  More of a wine guy than a beer guy at my age.

My wife and I both like bourbon but I like aged and she likes younger (older than moonshine but not older), but I love tequila. (Both are made for sipping’). I always mean to hit Dulce Vida in Austin for the Anejo aged in Cabernet barrels.  I love a good bourbon barrel cab and I love respado so this has me intrigued. 512 too.  Ever venture to either of them in Austin?

I was joking about the Lone Star lol. I live pretty close being in Austin and have been to Johnson City/Fredericksburg over a dozen times. Haven't been Garrison Brothers but have had their bourbon. Good stuff. I go to wineries, distilleries, breweries all around the area quite often - pretty much every other weekend. There are some great ones closer to Dripping Springs that we go to frequently. A lot of the wineries around here either offer great wine or nice views/atmosphere. Few offer both. Most of the wine we drink come from grapes grown in the high plains or are imported from other wine regions in North & South America, even some Australian.
