That is rich when you have people in here calling you racist if you question Jalen Hurts play on the field.

He wasn’t talking about his actual wife at all. This is a common saying.

There are certainly other ways to go about that. He knows that. You likely do, as well.

It's a classic Quote, Swoop.

It goes to the evolution of guilt and consequence. Been on the books since the 40"s as a way of expressing a complete loss of context and a No Win scenario.

So that's the only example of a loaded question?

I don't think so.

Fine. Happy to hear. It’s an centuries-old question, a classic example of a question to which there is no right answer. The original post asked a similar unanswerable question.

Simple case of using a fallacious loaded question to illustrate the point that you were backing the listener into an untenable response.

BTW, one possible response is "I never started."

Pretty clearly, the point was lost and hence offense taken.

I don't know ....

I question why people get so bent out of shape when discussing a player on a football team.  There will always be differences of opinion, and sometimes it's best to walk away from the computer for awhile rather than engage.  I suspect there is an agenda there beyond the player himself.

My opinion at this point is pretty firm -- Hurts did not play any better than a C+ grade on Sunday.  He ran well, and if people want to say that's all that counts because the team won, then that's fine.  He was pedestrian throwing the football, he didn't distribute the ball well, and he didn't play well in the 4th quarter.  The progression in his game that folks want to point to I believe is a mirage.  He didn't look any different than his first NFL start to me.  I'm sure many will disagree but that's where I'm at.

The great news is one game out of 17 is a very small sample size; there's another game coming up on Monday.  Like I said before, if Hurts puts up a player-of-the-week caliber performance, everyone should be happy with that.

Yeah, you try too hard and take things too seriously in here...maybe you can try 411 for a while

David Stern said it to Jim Rome during a radio interview if you want a famous example.

After watching the Tim donaghy documentary wouldn’t say stern is the greatest of all people

Tired of the your eliteism.

I have nothing against you Mike but is this the limit of your experience?

Will you not acknowledge a Classic phrase when presented and explained?

Must you respond with vehemence anyway?

I never implied he was a good person. Just giving an example that it’s a common phrase and there was no malicious intent.

We should all be offended that JR just assumed that 4for4 had a wife, pushing the tired narrative that marriage must only be between a man and woman.

"Have you stopped beating your partner?" would have been a more appropriate inquiry.

Won't have the chance to watch, but I see Larry Fitzgerald being really good as a commentator.

Interesting lineup. I’m just annoyed it’s not on actual tv and we have to use prime.

Shouldn't that be alarming that the coaches would rather call plays directly for their QB to run rather than let him pass?  They KNOW he's going to scramble on pass plays so why call even more plays that will expose his body.  To call designed QB runs tells you 100% what they think Hurts strong point is.

So many of us would love for Hurts to trust the pocket and run when he has to.  We just don't want it being a focal point of the offense.

If you don't want Hurts to run then don't only call 2 runs to your RB in your first 22 offensive snaps.

I think you should remember that when you seem ignorant about the basics of human decency. You arranged a group of people to, in an concerted effort, try and continually humiliate another member of this community. You bragged about it. That is the definition of bullying. Apparently you were only on one side of that as a kid. Your house is made of glass, fella.

So common that in my nearly 49 years on the planet that the only time I had heard it before was when Stern said it to Jim Rome, and people crushed him for it.

Whoever made that one up and thought there was no malicious intent is a horrible person.

OMG, really.  We said a bunch of nice things about an UDFA QB.  How could anyone possibly recover from the emotional damage of pumping up a nice kid.

I was just out front watering my plants, and my 75-year-old neighbor was out doing the same so I went and asked him if he’d ever heard this analogy. He looked at me kind of confused and said I don’t know who thinks that’s funny but if they said that around me they’d be ishing  their teeth for a week

Maybe google stuff you are ignorant of before losing your mind over it? A simple search would have saved you a lot of embarrassment.

Pretty sure this is how threatening or bully like we were discussing Carson Strong to whomever you think this one victim was....
