So common that in my nearly 49 years on the planet that the only time I had heard it before was when Stern said it to Jim Rome, and people crushed him for it.

Whoever made that one up and thought there was no malicious intent is a horrible person.

I gave you an example and link of how it’s the common saying.

Listen man, the poster it was said to has made comments about short buses to another poster last year. You never said a word about it and I know you read every post. That was malicious. This is not and you seem to ride the fence when you feel your group is attacked.

OMG, really.  We said a bunch of nice things about an UDFA QB.  How could anyone possibly recover from the emotional damage of pumping up a nice kid.

Exactly, you gang up on one person, like on the elementary school playground and then diminish your actions. I recall you even tried to self-impose a consequence when it looked like you might be held accountable. Classic little bully boy who got caught behavoir. Then you cry foul on a ironical statement because of your life context. Now you make a claim as to whether or not your actions were hurtful because you "know" how everything effects another. "We said a bunch of nice things about an UDFA QB." Right, you bragged about trolling a person by doing this in an organized way. How is this different from catfishing? I mean it was just a bunch of nice things that any girl could say to the guy, right? You are pathetic.

Yes

If you don't want Hurts to run then don't only call 2 runs to your RB in your first 22 offensive snaps.

I'm not arguing with you there.

I was just out front watering my plants, and my 75-year-old neighbor was out doing the same so I went and asked him if he’d ever heard this analogy. He looked at me kind of confused and said I don’t know who thinks that’s funny but if they said that around me they’d be ishing  their teeth for a week

Once again, your ignorance ( or your neighbor's) of a well known expression does not invalidate the original quote, or the intended meaning or interpretation. Your lack of understanding of the quote, intent, says more about you.

It's not malicious. it's philosophical.

Get it yet?

Take a seat.

What was bragged about was that it was an organized and disingenuous effort to hype Strong in order to get a rise out of RTK based his adamant support for Hurts. Pretty much the definition of trolling and social media bullying. But, that is in the past. What's current is the irony of the ring leader crying foul because of an issue of particular sensitivity to him. I think that might be the definition of Snowflake.

First of all, if you are talking about RTK, he has most of us on ignore and wouldn’t have seen it anyways. The joke had no specific target, we just pumped up a guy who probably wasn’t going to make the roster as the quarterback of the future, how is that going to hurt anyone’s feelings.

I remember it just being a general troll for any and all "hurts will be a top 10 QB" crowd that ignores all of his blatant bad stats and cherry picked these obscure stats to put him on a pedestal.... RTK just happened to constantly jump in. There's about 7 or 8 of them on here. It kinda kept the board alive during the offseason

Gonna be a major struggle to watch this game tonight and not be able to change  the channel during the commercials.

Just focus on Herbert being tall and white, that should help.

Or so I'm told, anyhow.

Imagine you're a Vikings fan and you want to see what Eagles fans are thinking about the game and you wind up reading this blog.

I agree as an observer. The bragging about organizing such an effort against 1 member of the community is what set Utebird off. I'm only pointing out the hypocrisy.

I’d be willing to bet Cousins takes more flack from their fans than Hurts does in Philly.  The surprising part for them would be the pushback, not the constant critiques

It was not organized against anybody specifically in the community, what I said in my PM was "this is Howie Roseman’s gift to us to mess with the Hurts squirts”

No I will not take a seat, and if it makes me ignorant that I don’t find anything funny or philosophical about making light of domestic violence, then I will gladly be the most ignorant person walking the earth

Things I would say in front of random strangers when discussing football.

I bet that Carson Strong if he develops could be the future quarterback for the Eagles.

I’m really not sold on Jalen hurts as I don’t think running quarterbacks are going to be successful in the NFL.

Have you stopped beating your wife yet?
