Vikings 31

Eagles 29

Vikings scheme a TD to Reagor this game that twists the knife in the Eagles side.

Investigate what? people play with cracked and broken ribs all the time and they dont have an MRI/X ray machine in that fancy blue tent.

It wasnt a head injury/concussion protocall

You can feel people's ribs. If there was a crack or a break then putting him back in the game is dangerous.

Its not you on the sidelines, its actual medically trained people.

Classy.  There’s a line you don’t cross.  This is it.

You don't understand what he's getting at, it's a known thing in debate. That phrase is not an earnest question but he's saying you asked a loaded question:

You can see even in the article it asks that question. So report away, but just understand that he's using a known rhetorical device.

It's not so much the individual plays from Detroit that have me frustrated with Hurts, it's everything that was leading up to the game, and then the overall vibe of meet the new boss, same as the old. I think Hurts escapability is something very special, but I wish beyond wishing that he would instead look to throw after avoiding rushers, instead of looking to run. One, it would just make him a greater threat as a QB, and two, it would extend his career. He can't take the shots he took against Detroit and survive to Canadian thanksgiving (early October). And we saw, even when he slides to try and protect himself, the refs aren't giving him the benefit of the slide, and it's gonna end badly.

And I blame Nick for this as well. It seems like they don't care that he puts himself in harm's way, so long as he's sustaining drives. To me, that's coaching scared, not coaching to make the players better.

Also, Hurts is a stats hog - if he could get some more dump-offs/check downs integrated into his game rather than running, more players can eat and be happy.

Those actual medically trained people gave him the green light to return, so what's your point?

What if Reagor drops 100 yards and a TD on us?

Eagles haven’t won in week 2 since 2016. This would be a big early season win. If they lose to Minny suddenly they could be staring 2 games behind Washington in the division with a loss week 3.

Not the same play, so I agree.

He had a very nice pocket. The youtuber said that no one was open and so Hurts bailed. If Hurts just stayed in the pocket then someone might get open and he can thro

He needs to make the clock in his head longer or something

Wouldn't surprise me, honestly.

As long as we win I don't really care.

His reason for the bailing of the pocket on that one play was because no one was open. My counter to that is what if he stayed in the pocket until someone perhaps got open? Hurts had a timer in his head and no one was open during it so he ran

I agree with the rest

Of course, that's also how QBs get sacked for 10 yards. Hoping someone gets open, then the pocket collapses and good night.

Given his running ability, if he's gone through his progressions and no one is open or looking like they're going to come up in the next second, get the f out of there!

Here is a question, Colts going to Clown Town where they haven't won in awhile.  If Indy loses to Jax this weekend is Frank Reich in trouble?

Plenty of QBs let their receivers try to get open while they're sitting in a clean pocket. It's not a new or strange concept

Then his failure in Philly was our coaching staff and QBs fault.

And that's how they end up with 50+ sacks and a nice QB rating (b/c QB rating doesn't take into account holding the ball too long and killing drives with bad sacks).

The advantage of the running QB is he can get out of the pocket, run if there's open space or throw the ball away - the stationary QB has to eat the ball or force it into coverage.

It's all a matter of balance, I just want Hurts to stay long enough to go through his progressions, but it's up to his WRs to get open, it's up to him to avoid losses that put the team in a bad hole (3rd and 12+, and so on).

Eagles will double and triple team Jefferson. Wouldn't shock me to see Reagor get a bunch of targets.

Will he catch those targets is the question?

I’m impressed how you can make zero sense but still kind of make sense at the same time
