Have you noticed the narrative has changed drastically of late from "let him develop into a passer" to whatever the hell this stance is....it's like they know it can't be changed, but they can't let go of supporting him so they moved the goalpost to "you can win this way if...." It blows my mind.

yep.  It's like they've stopped trying to coach him to be a better passing QB and said this is what he is.  Let's run with it.

I like how I was blasted all offseason anytime I read the tea leafs and pointed out that Lamar is the most likely option next season if Hurts doesn't end up being the guy.  Now that Lamar has interest many of those same people that blasted me and the idea as nonsense are being forced to face the reality of the possibility.

Slow down.    Lamar hasn't come out publicly and said anything.   Lots of tea leaf reading by people with Twitter accounts.  Not a time to beat your chest.  And even if there is interest on Lamar's side, that doesn't mean there will be interest from the Eagles.

I suspect the eagles would be interested at a certain price. I don’t think if he’s asking for a watson type contract where it’s fully guaranteed but at $290 mil that they’d be in on it. I want to say it was Berman on BWF after we drafted hurts say he was told by someone in the organization that lurie and the FO saw lamar and what the ravens were doing and think it might be the next evaluation of offense/Qb in the nfl. I posted it during that time cause i found it super interesting as they drafted hurts with wentz here and the caplan report they were in on Jordan love. Whether they still feel that way or if that is accurate is another story.

It's exactly the narrative that's being pushed on a bunch of shows. "You can win this way" and "use his strengths, hide his weaknesses. That's coaching".  Time to think draft

Lamar makes no sense for this team. Does anyone really think Jeffrey Lurie would sign off on this? Dude's been pass-obsessed since before it was cool.

Auburn is basically Alabama’s JV team

A great way to explain lurie lol

If it ends up being Aaron Rodgers last year in GB and the QB class in this draft doesn't pan out like it's supposed to, I'd take him for a year or 2.  I'd imagine AJ, Devonta, Quez and Goedert would be ecstatic to have him.

If Lurie wants a passing QB and Rodgers is out there, he will at least try to bring him in.

Again this is assuming this QB class doesn't produce anyone worth drafting.

38-12-0 career record.  87 TD passes, 21 rushing TDs & only 32 interceptions for his career.

Meanwhile of the other top young QBs around the league he has had by far the worst surrounding cast of skill players on offense.  Mark Andrews is a top TE.  He had Hollywood Brown but I just think he's an above average WR and isn't really anything special at the position.  Never really had anything special at RB either.  Nothing bad but just solid RBs.  Meanwhile Mahomes, Herbert, Burrow, Watson and Josh Allen by the the time of his 3rd year all have gotten to play with much more talent around them on offense.  You could even throw Kyler into that mix as well.

Right now it is looking like Hurts is be in the MVP conversation by seasons end so it's very unlikely the Eagles will be looking at another QB in the offseason.  But it could be something lethal to see Lamar Jackson in an offense with a lot of talented skill players around him.  I think back to Vick in 2010 where he suddenly was stepping into an offense with a great offensive line and young in their primes DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy & Jeremy Maclin.

Yeah with Aaron Rodgers and a different DC, they'd be juggernauts. Wouldn't get my hopes up though

Game number 2 hasn’t even happened and there’s heated debates over another team’s QB being our QB next year or the year after. Blog is definitely in regular season form.

BTW Penn State is kicking the crap out of Auburn.

Not sure BYU should be ranked 12th but still a nice win for Oregon.

Least amount of throwing TDS to win the MVP in modern football was manning in 08  with 27....think he may fall short

I had Hurts at 22-24 passing TDs this season. He won't be anywhere near the conversation

Can we collectively agree to ignore/stop engaging RTK? I ignored him a while ago, but I'm forced to keep seeing it because some of you can't help yourselves.

It's VERY OBVIOUS  that he adds nothing to the table other than trolling, race baiting, etc. He was banned (permanently) in the past for the same ish.

Let's let it go now.
