August 30, 20223 yr 43 minutes ago, HazletonEagle said: Explain to me what a discord is. It looks like just a chat room. To me. So largely the structure is very similar to a message board. You have a "server" - lets call it "Philadelphia Eagles". Then within the server there are any number of "categories" (like "TATE", "Rant n Rave", "Around the NFL" etc) and then any number of "channels" within those categories (so individual threads like the blog, or each player etc). So that's a long-winded way of saying there isn't just one chat room (channel) but a neatly organised collection of chats under sub-categories - same as threads on a message board. Some differences/advantages: Rights control - you can easily gatekeep which users or groups of users can read or post in certain channels or category of channels. You can control other rights as well like posting gifs/emojis/links/tagging people etc. So if this were a Discord server, you could have a section for those who only want to partake in "boring" intelligent discussion. I would make it so anyone can read those channels but remove posting rights for anyone disrupting the tone and intent of the section. It's more bespoke and effective than blanket banning. Of course conversely there could be sections catering to members who are more about the "fun" or whatever. gifs/emojis/memes/pics - the library to choose from is enormous and constantly growing. Until coming back to this board, I didn't realise how much I'd miss being able to post the perfect gif or emoji to convey my reaction to a post. It seems like a small thing but having a vast library of visual reactions to choose from makes a huge difference to the experience. And you don't have to worry about images putting load on the servers etc. text/voice - you can have text and voice channels. There's some servers or niche areas within servers where I spend more time in voice chat than text chat. Depending on context, it can be very useful. A voice channel during a game could be fun to try, for example. All in one place - currently all your message boards are their own website and so not in the same place. With Discord, all your servers are one under the other in the same place. So it's one click to navigate between different servers (message boards).

Still, he was only getting 4-5 reps per practice. I go back to the Senior Bowl, and that interception, there was no juice on that throw. There were reports of him being all over the place with his throws at the combine and his Pro Day, and even Jordan Palmer said he was having issues driving the bad leg into the ground, even though his knee was the healthiest it’s been been in years. His father told him to skip last season to heal, then come back for his senior year so he could get right mechanically, but he refused and didn’t want to leave his team hanging. and, this is where I began to believe they were going to IR him on the last day of cuts (today) and werent going to allow him in to games because they didnt think the knee was healthy. However, then they allowed him in to 2 games. So even THIS doesnt make sense either. Unless, thats why they only allowed him to hand the ball off. Maybe it can still explain things.
August 30, 20223 yr 6 minutes ago, Godfather said: Same. I don't think Calcaterra will play much. Looking forward in seeing if Stoll can take a step forward in the passing game I think he will make some plays. But yeah he’s a 3rd string TE, I don’t expect much as long as DG stays healthy. 6 minutes ago, Bacarty2 said: 100+ catches out of backfield this year. For just Gainwell?
August 30, 20223 yr Just now, Bacarty2 said: Yes. Hurts can dumb the ball off. Think they had 80 last year So you're talking about the entire backfield...I was saying Gainwell alone should have 50-60. Maybe

What did they all have in common? All three were athletic mobile QBs who could keep plays alive with their legs and make plays with their legs if need be. Lamar Jackson fits that mold. If Hurts isn't the guy and the Eagles are looking for a new QB next year they are first going to look at trying to obtain a top established veteran QB before looking to the draft because this roster is built to win presently as is. If you look across the landscape of the league, Lamar is as of now the most likely good top veteran QB that could be available next offseason.
