I’d love to see Jalen Hurts give it a shot at boxing but he probably just kicks the whole time

1) Jameis Winston doing Winston things. The "pillars" were going in depth on how he changed, and how amazing the saints are goinna be. Might be 4-8 by December (probably 3-9)

2) How Bout Dem Colts. Again, the Pillars preaching how bad Wentz is, how good the Colts are lulz.

3) The Lions and the Redskins may have the worst defense in the league. That 31 doesnt look that impressive

4) Lattermore and Evans are the biggest scumbags in the league.

5) Back to the Pillars telling us how the Chiefs arent gonna make the playoffs and they "lost the trade". Theyre gonna keep winning

Pillars, Pillars?  We don't need no stinkin' Pillars.

Tua sucks at sucking

This is important to remember.

The team loaded this offense around Hurts. If he cant look good as a passer with this group, then it becomes very clear that he isnt your QB of the future.

Look at what the Dolphins did for Tua. And they are reaping the rewards, because Tua is at least able to be helped by the talent around him.

So far, it seems there is no helping Hurts. He has these weapons and doesnt know how to use them.

Hopefully today is better.

I have enjoyed it, probably on our 3rd season. With I caught on years earlier. But really struggling with it right now for what would be considered political reasons that cant be discussed in this thread.

You're right. He's no Geno Smith, who had *check notes*....0 offensive points yesterday.

Geno is far more talented. However, maybe they are more similar than youd care to admit. Geno has DK and Lockette. Has to be better than yesterday.

So what's the plan at QB next season? Hurts again? Lamar? Not a fan of either, but the college QBs are looking like hot garbage.

Dare I say it???

Tonight's the Real test...:P

Seriously, rust should be gone, all starters healthy, National spotlight.

Time to show what he's learned. Spread the touches, make your calls and reads, beat the blitz...

Ya know, all the stuff a competent QB should be able to do..

Convince Burrow to leave that dumpster fire organization before he dies

Hope he asks for a trade. Howie is ready to pounce.

I would send 3 1sts, Hurts and a 2nd for Burrow without blinking.

I've mentioned before, it's a very important criteria in evaluating QBs that we haven't seen enough evidence on either way with Hurts -- what kind of 4th quarter QB is he?  The type who wins games in the 4th quarter, the type who doesn't get it done in crunch time, or even worse type of QB who makes the big mistake down the stretch to let the other team win?  Tua showed one example yesterday that he can utilize the weapons he's been given to bring the team back from a large deficit.

I'm not a big believer in Tua, but the fact is he threw 4 fourth quarter TD passes to win a game for his team.  We haven't seen that from Hurts yet; hopefully we get to see evidence that he can keep his team in games and win them in the clutch.

If that were to come to pass it might just be amazing.

Burrow has Chops.

I would send a similar package, but I would sweeten it by sending Minshew instead of Hurts. Bengals already have Mixon so probably no use for Hurts. Theyll need a QB though.

Also, I like Quez, but I gotta have my boy Tee. So work that swap in there somehow too.

Hurts here in a backup role, QB2.

Would a bruised ego survive the change?

It will be interesting to see what happens with the 9ers QB situation moving forward. Trey can’t stay healthy and Jimmy G is in a contract year.

Wouldnt be out of the realm of possibility that they’re in the QB hunt next draft.

Jimmy G and his agent played it perfectly.  Take the 9ers to the playoffs, then hit FA and get paid again.

Hurts is sitting right next to Wentz in QB purgatory as we speak.  "Not the reason we lost," "Just win baby," "can't be more undefeated than we already are," "played a better game than first thought after further review," "still improving," and "there's more than one way to win at QB" are all in there with them.

Same level, maybe.  But Wentz has six years as a starter and is 29.  Hurts has 1 1/3rd years as a starter and just turned 24.  So if people are saying those things about Wentz at this point,  that is a concern.  But I don’t think that folks think Wentz is "still improving”. I think folks learned that 2019, 2020 and 2021 is what they get with Wentz and 2017 was an anomaly.  I think with Hurts we may continue to see some improvement but let’s face it, when the improvement noted is he threw over the middle or to the left, that doesn’t bode well for a high enough ceiling.

Tua threw 1/4th of him and Hurts passing TDS from last year in 15 minutes of time. That's the growth I'm looking for XD

At least Hurts threw 0 TDs so far this year.

The best chance we have defensively tonight is to get pressure up the middle.  We need to get Cousins off his spot.  It starts up the middle, up front.  Hopefully the gap control improves in the run game.

Play Jordan Davis more, and get Dean on the field in obvious passing downs in place of Edwards. Those 2 changes could probably bring a fair amount of improvement over what we saw last week, and dont even require Gannon to come up with any new brilliant designs. Just put the right players on the field.

*Looks at the touchdown leaderboard and moves on*

I think we are going to learn more about the Eagles tonight than we have from any one game in the last 2 years.

The Vikings are a sound team that packs a punch on both sides of the ball.  While I will ALWAYS be a skeptical non-believer of a QB whose strength is not passing the football, a win against a good team that shut down Rodgers last week certainly leaves us with little to complain about.  If they lose, then the narrative of never competing with a good team gets just a little more suffocating.

Can't argue with any of this

The passing yards leaders currently are Tua, Wentz and Flacco. Goff is tied for second in passing TDs. Just as expected.

The NFL is weird.
