Scott is not that guy. He does ok because of our OL, like you said. Hes a role player. Hes a fine #3. We need a legit #2. With some speed, some power, and some passing game ability. Not just one or 2 of those things. Or, if it is one or 2 of those things, he better be elite at it. Like Blount was just a power back, but he was elite at that.

Hurts would be a nice RB. Reminds me a bit of Ryan Mathews in his running style. Not sure how well he would read blocks back there. Hes more of a chicken with his head cut off kind of runner. Not sure he could play RB within the confines of called plays.

Yes I thought Sanders did dance too much in his rookie and 2nd year, but he has eliminated that from his game (which is good). His injuries are one issue I have, but also his football IQ is so poor, and that's one of the things I can't stand in pro players. Reagor has the same issue, and even Hurts too. Barnett of course. Low football IQ guys make dumb mistakes at the worst times. And yes, Sanders pass catching ability completely disappeared. Maybe it has something to do with how Hurts throws? I don't really know honestly.

There's a simple solution to the problems people are having in the thread.  Just like people don't want politics discussed here, others don't want personal attacks.  If you feel the need to personally attack someone in response to a post, take it to Rant & Rave. It's not a personal attack to call what someone said stupid or idiotic.  It's a personal attack to call that person stupid or an idiot.

There is multiple forums on this board.  As I already posted, there is a blog in the 411 that stays strictly football.

Seems like you want to censor who can post in certain places, which will ultimately slow down traffic.  Is that what you want ??

The Cox contract is bad. Of course. But, I do wonder if it has any effect on the other vets and possible FAs (outside of not being able to sign some because Cox stole their money). You look and see that Lowie is willing to compensate a guy who always was a good soldier, even on some real bad teams.

yeah. I think of the work VABeachEagle put in. The other guys like paco and DUM being key players helping out. How much real life problems VA is going through and still doing that. In addition to being right in the middle of the pandemic, and the money people still threw at this project despite uncertain times.

The work put in making the skin a perfect match to the old board. And the familiarity of it all.

The fact that at this point it is nearly to the point of self sustaining which took all of this time to get to that point.

The fact that we went from a member number in 6 figures to now still less than 1700 means we will lose a ton more. 

There is a lot of work, and time not just in transitioning, but in building that has been done here. All because people thought this place exactly how it is, was worth saving. I dont see that many people will want to move. And when some good ones move, and some dont, both places will be worse off. Then you risk losing it all.

I'm not agreeing with the contract. Not sure what other choice he had. It is an expensive backup plan but then again, Howie likes kicking the can further down the road. I guess you can make the argument to roll with Milton Williams if we lost out on Davis

I think Stevenson is in for a mega year there. Reports are his pass catching has improved massively, even Bill B was giving him praise which is insanely rare.

You did go over the top in your praise of Strong. It was so over the top, it looked not like you were trolling the over the top Hurts troll but the Strong lovers group. But what does that add to the discussions.  Frankly, most just scrolled past those of your posts.  

Today will also be sad with the cutdowns.  Sad to see so many players dreams coming to an end, although with the expanded practice squads and now two spring leagues offering a chance to hone skills and maybe get another chance plus the CFL, the sadness is muted somewhat.

I don't think trolls are the problem. I think it's personal attacks and harassment. Trolls engaged in hyperbole for the sake of discussion doesn't really detract from the conversation.
