Easily Hurt's best game of his NFL career. After that first sack he took on the first drive where he ran too early in a clean pocket, he really had a great rest of the half. Have to say his zip on the ball looked a lot better as he was making some really good throws. He was getting the ball out much quicker on a lot of throws as well. The whole offense and coaching needs to get better in the 2nd half. So props to Hurts as this is what we wanted to see from him the whole time. Going to give credit where it is due and Hurts played much better than I thought he would...but he needs to do this consistently. He cant have good games once a blue moon and then revert back to his running ways. We're on to Washington and im hopeful Hurts can continue what he has worked on.

As for the Gannon and the defense....We really need to improve the pass rush. Stop putting Reddick in coverage. This team really needs a stud pass rushing DT and DE. Secondary had a game though! And our run defense showed up. Just like Hurts they need to show consistency.

Yes. I can criticize him when he's playing bad and praise him when he plays well. Most of the humpers praise him regardless of how he plays

This is factually incorrect. Sorry, you don't get to rewrite history in this case.

Most of the Hurts Haters were adamant that Jalen could never be an accurate passer who could use all parts of the field, read a defense and get the ball out quickly. They also said he hadn't shown any improvement over his first two seasons.

Most of the so-called Hurts Squirters felt that he showed improvement over his first two seasons and were optimistic going into this season. They were relentlessly criticized for having this view, and the Haters felt that anyone who thought Hurts had any kind of future as a qb1 were morons who were simply blinded by their love of the qb.

Well, it looks like one group was really, really wrong.

I would love for the Eagles to solve their ST return issues.  Coverage units seem to be flying around but how many years has it been now that we just settle for fair catches, 2 yard returns or just watching the ball roll?  Reagor had a flash in the pan PR TD his rookie year but other than that our return units are straight up garbage.  It would be great if they could find a position player capable of being a threat returning the ball.  Covey's ceiling is Chad Hall and I feel like that's a stretch.  The only positive about Covey is that he isn't taking up a spot on the 53.  They can PS him all year long and call him up on gamedays for his 3-6 snaps as PR.  Would be great though if they could find someone who could not only return punts but also contribute on offense.

Will they fill the 53rd roster spot this week?

wow, completely wrong, lets no jump on the hurts bandwagon yet, if he sustains this kind of play, well yeah we're all in, but lets just wait to crown him, here's hoping he takes them all the way, is that racist?

The Squirters have their agenda, facts be damned.

What is a Squirter?  Is that a Pillar that has sprung a leak?

I keep waiting for Slay to hit the over 30 decline and he keeps proving me wrong. That was one of the best corner performances I’ve seen from an Eagles DB in a long time.

I am enjoying.   But, I am not going to play the 'shoulda' 'coulda' 'woulda'.  What happened, happened.  What didn't, didn't.   And so they won 24-7, they didn't win 41 - 14, or anything else.

Agreed, what happened, happened.  But no matter how you cut it, a 17 point win is not a close game

Best passing game of his career and the humpers are right? Plenty of season left. He showed he couldn't throw last season. Last night he looked good but I'm far from a supporter. He needs to be more consistent in the passing game. Let's see if he can build off last night

Not that I watch a ton of other NFL games but I can't remember a game by a CB like the one Slay had last night.  It's one thing to for the most part lock down JJ but to come away with 2 INT while missing out on at least 3 others was out of this world.  Unbelievable game by Slay.  If Bradberry didn't miss that 3rd down tackle, it would be have a 10/10 game for the Eagles CB.

They can't do that.  There is a limit to how many call ups a player can have in a season.  I believe it is either 3 or 4.

Oh really?  So at some point he will be the 53rd.  That stinks.

That's a good point.

The yardage being 2-1 IS a sign of dominance though. That is a lot more sustainable than turnover luck.

No disagreement.  They dominated the Vikings with all the things that did happen.  Their 3rd down conversion rate was also top notch in the first half.  It fell off in the 2nd half.   But, even so, 7 of 13 is pretty good.

I never said it was.   All I said is that playing the woulda shoulda game isn't one I choose to participate in.   It is fools' gold, and generally, that's where (historically) Lions' fans spend their time.   If the game had been 5 minutes longer, we'd have come back.  If we could have done this, we'd have won.    The Eagles dominated the Vikings almost as badly as they did in the NFCCG back in Jan. 2018.  It was beautiful.  No need to play the what-if game.   The game was dominated by the Eagles.

Comparing the week one non-scoring drives to the week two non-scoring drives is illuminating.  With the exception of the Gainwell interception, last night's second half possessions were productive, but not in terms of points.  Week One's 7th and 8th possessions were essentially three and outs.

It was one half, of one game, in week 2.

I'd love to eat my words that I was wrong about Hurts.

But, as of right now, I havent seen enough(no where near enough since just last week for the entire game he played like Old Hurts)

Quote me in week 16 when he's done this 14-15 games(not halfs) in a row

I thought it was a good game as a whole. Penalties in the 2nd half killed some potential scoring drives. I'll give him the whole game. I don't want to be petty like the humpers

My issue with Hurts last week was that he looked like the same guy from 2021. My thrill with Hurts last night was that he showed progress. Both statements are true.

You contribute nothing for 10 months and then come along and spike the football like you’ve been in here all along.  RTK and others deserve to crow this morning.  You, not so much.

Because it was miserable garbage of hate for 10 months, unprecedented. There was nothing to contribute to "hurts sux” for 10 months. The only reprieve was the 2 months of Carson Strong hype from desperate washers.

we had a lead and he wasnt expected to do much. I'm not taking away from him so to speak, just not "giving it to him" lol.

But sure, let's give him the entire game. thats 1 out of 25... I'll hold my opinion until week 15 or so

I agree with the second part. Regardless if you have the lead or not, you always want to score more points. Especially when there's a whole half to play

What a great win. Hurts looked great. Defense was fantastic (Especially Slay). Devonta got involved. Quez still roasting DBs. Made Jefferson look mid. Just a very satisfying win.
