I find it interesting that the trade compensation hasn't leaked at all. That's not usually a sign that big picks are coming back.  UNLESS we traded a player, and that's the hold up.

So who or what did we trade for this starting safety?

Doubt the eagles have to do anything now. Just give him a chance to play safety for a year then extend him during the season or let him hit free agency. Sounds like he just didn't want to play the nickel spot in his contract year.

Schematically, the Eagles want Safeties that are more FS than SS, right? That would make CGJ a much better scheme fit than Harris or Tartt right? (even ignoring actual talent)

I mean yeah look at Jenkins, he was drafted as a corner then moved to safety 

Not sure the relationship Howie has with the saints but seems they deal with each other quite a bit.

The only problem is that the guy has never really played safety in the nfl. And our scheme isn't easy to pick up. So this does seem like a pretty risky move.
