  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

It really depends what the team's red zone percentage is.  As long as opponents let Hurts walk into the end zone (the Lions defense on Hurts' TD run was atrocious) there isn't a lot of need to throw it.

I agree and when we are watching the game it doesn't matter. A TD is the same for the team whether he runs it or passes it.  But it will be hard to classify him as a good QB if he has 17-18 TD passes all year.

So I have to be negative…

I’m not seeing/understanding all of the offseason Gainwell hype. He’s meh at best.

I like gainwell as a third down back. But as the main backup i don’t think he’d flourish in that role. I actually think it’s why they claimed sermon. Probably trying to get him up to speed with the playbook as he got here two weeks ago. I like sanders but hate that he’s very injury prone. He’s actually been better catching the ball this year. If he didn’t have the durability concerns i think more people would be excited about sanders.

Why are his pots knocked over? He should be growing stuff in them

Also, he needs to stain that deck

Changing the topic, how do we feel about Gannon and Steichen after last night.  Seemed the scheme was working on both sides of the ball last night.

Stock ⬆️

Ravens might get him, some wanted him for the Eagles.

Pleasantly surprised.

I noticed those 2 things.

I thought- dog tails knocked over the pots.

And then I thought, that old uncared for deck cant actually be his.

Gannon can be sent on the next shuttle to Mars fan as I’m concerned.  Vikings were bad.  That wasn’t Gannon’s doing.

Glass half full would be he actually blitzed. He got bailed out by outstanding play by Slay and some crucial drops. Still much better than last week. Our pass rush is pretty bad. I don't like how he's using Reddick obviously.

debatable. a lot of Cousins mistakes came with pressure. And lots of that was actually from blitzing.

Limiting Cook on his few carries till they gave up as well...

Gannon may have done a lot.

This is why we're elite posters here

If you had to bet every penny you had right now: does the AFC South have every team in the division finish under .500?

Kind of where I am at.  Vikings just seemed out of sync last night, and Slay dominated Jefferson.

Steichen schemed well and called a great game last night, and had guys wide open most of the night.

Jags win that division at 8-9

The interception at the goal line was not pressure, just a bad throw by Cousins.

there was pressure from Sweat

Everyone looked like they were on their A+ game last night. I don't know yet if it's because of this team, or because of the other team. We'll see.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if people are calling for Gannons head in a week or two.

He took his 5 step drop, set and threw.  Sweat was getting there, had no impact on the throw though.

Brown on a slant in the red zone seems to easy and obvious, but they are not doing it.

That's the one place you don't want to do it. The slant goes behind the LBs, inside the CBs, and in front of the safeties. In the red zone they're all crowded together.

hilarious. The trajectory of the ball was entirely what it was because Cousins had to get it up over Sweats outstretched hands. Sweat was coming in unblocked. Had his arms up, and jumped. Cousins had to loft if over him.

I just looked up Slay and Jefferson's 40 time. Granted, Big Play is getting older but he was actually faster.

Not sure if Slay can play man coverage on other receivers, but he showed us he can cover Jefferson. Wouldn't be surprised to see other teams trying it out.

Nope.  We don't like Gannon.  Everything bad is his fault.  Everything good is the opponent's.

Next time, read the flyer before entering.

I’d say the same as Hurts. Pleased with the performance last night, but it needs to be repeated many times over.
