EMB Blog: 2022 Regular Season (and beyond?) - NO POLITICS

I wasn't huge on the Jordan Davis pick, but the guys I really wanted were gone, so I didn't hate it either. If they passed on Jameson Williams, Stingley, or Thibodeaux, it would've been a different story. I didn't want Kyle Hamilton. Jermaine Johnson fell for a reason, he seems far off. I think he can be a good NFL player, the question is will he look like he was worthy of a top 15 pick that you had to trade up for.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Most draft picks, even the ones, tend to need a half season to acclimate to the pro game, except maybe RBs.

If were talking about top half, I'd say WR's generally have been having immediate impacts.

Kyle Hamilton is looking like a major miss for me.  I was all in on him.  Early, though.

Yea. what the hell happened to that guy?

Gonna be a fun day when we take over the Commode Door's Stadium once again and show Carson an up close look at the turf there. Not worried any more than the usual NFC East fights but Eagles will wear em down and beat em up.

I don't anticipate the usual slobberknocker this time. Washington is hurting a bit. New Center coming in, etc. Eagles are flying.

lol

Schlereth is pretty dumb but I kinda like Amin

If Jalen Hurts continues to play like this and Howie decides he doesn't want a QB in the draft, use those 1st rounders and go up and get Will Anderson and solve your pass rush problems for good. If the Saints hopefully suck enough, the Eagles may not have to move up too far.

Wanted Davis over Hamilton and he might not have been there if we hadn't traded up. Was excited with the pick at the time, still have big expectations and hope for him.

So what was the Vikings defensive plan here? They didn't seem to blitz much, and they didn't seem to press the WRs as they were 8+ yards off almost every play. I would have loved for Hurts to take some more deep shots, but the Vikings were giving him all the free 4+ yard short throws all game long. He took those and marched down the field consistently. 4+ yards of separation is huge in the NFL, I just don't understand what offense this would even work against.

I do think the coaches didn't want to put much film on the offense in the 2nd half and they seemed to go a lot more conservative with the safe plays.

Obviously the results were much different on these two plays, but what was a better throw by Hurts?

or his pass to Goedert that he ended up dropping?

You don't pay attention to all of what I say regarding the game.  You just get wrapped up in your little man crush of Jalen Hurts and get your feelings hurt.  Ironic seeing this coming from you.  You're looking real sharp today.

No man crush on Hurts, I just believe in fairness and objectivity. He deserves praise after last night's game for how he played and led the team. It's not hyperbole. I find biased BS and also the way you address people to be offensive and diminishing to real discussion on this board. Nothing ironic about it.

It's still early for the big fella. This is pretty much what I expected out of him though for his rookie year. And why trading up for him was, underwhelming? For me anyway. I think he can be really good, it's just going to take some time for the splash plays.

I can't remember what Cox did his first few games, but the DC also sucks in a lot of ways. Is he using him right? Is he using the rest of the DL right? The D shut things down, but was that the talent in the secondary finally coming together? It takes time, but I'd think with good coaching this summer he should be ahead of where he is considering where he plays and his talent.

It was a great game last night....but it wasn't all peaches and cream. There's stuff to improve on and should be discussed.

Not allowed to. You should know better than that

His best throw by far was Watkins but out of bounds. The 53 yard TD isn't a great throw but it didn't need to be

The Goedert throw was a much more difficult throw due to the tighter window. No margin of error there compared to the much wider margin of error with Watkins roaming free downfield, nary a defender in sight.

Will Anderson, as good as he is, would not be successful here.  He would be playing SAM, currently occupied by big FA addition Hasson Reddick.  He's been busy dropping back in to coverage too much for my liking.  Anderson would be wasted on this team.  He needs to go to a team who knows how to utilize every player.

I feel like the answer to almost all of these posts is it's early and a lot can happen in all directions between now and the end of the season/draft.  But that's a pretty boring position to take on a message board 😂

I think the dropped throw to DG was probably the best.

You don't pass on generational talents because they don't fit your scheme. Plus who knows how long Gannon will be here anyway.

People who come at me, like yourself, get addressed a certain way.  People who don't, don't.  Pretty basic concept.  But I have another basic concept for you, since you're so hypocritically offended. You can put me on ignore or report to the mods.  You seem like the type.  400 posts and 20 of which were today, of you in here crying and swinging your purse.

And I was praising Hurts all night in here, last night and this morning.  So you should be happy.  But I doubt it.

I am happy. If challenging you is characterized as crying and swinging my purse, then you can call me Nancy all you want. That makes me even happier.

Yep, that was a better throw.  The DG one was pretty dumb and almost lucky.   Still on the money, but those defenders weren't all there as he released the ball.

Yeah, I can tell.  I'm glad you can feel validated in here for once.  Now take that out in the real world and who knows what life brings you.

Probably true.

Will Anderson might go #1 overall, even with all the QBs. Saints would have to completely collapse. He's a Myles Garrett/Nick Bosa level prospect. Those guys go 1 or 2.

Fame and fortune. The real world has already delivered. Have a nice day, Sunshine.
