I'm tired of them having a DC who forces players to fit their scheme vs bending the scheme to fit the talents of the players (Patriots).

But between the two "trip companies" on 94.1 and 97.5 It sounds like north of 20K. 300 dollars with Philly trips got you bus down and back. Lower Level Ticket. All you can eat, all you can drink beer and a t shirt lol. Thats not a bad deal at all

They didn't seem to blitz much, and they didn't seem to press the WRs as they were 8+ yards off almost every play. I would have loved for Hurts to take some more deep shots, but the Vikings were giving him all the free 4+ yard short throws all game long. He took those and marched down the field consistently. 4+ yards of separation is huge in the NFL, I just don't understand what offense this would even work against. I do think the coaches didn't want to put much film on the offense in the 2nd half and they seemed to go a lot more conservative with the safe plays. Obviously the results were much different on these two plays, but what was a better throw by Hurts? or his pass to Goedert that he ended up dropping? Without seeing the all 22, my guess is that the Vikings came in with a gameplan to take away the right side of the field and force him to his left. So he just took those easy throws to the left side of the field once he figured out what they were doing. If you are in zone and you want to force a qb to throw left, you can do that pretty easily, but it means that the receivers on the left side of the field will be wide open. As far as the TD throw, that was pretty easy and doesn't get me excited. A qb shouldn't get too much credit for a blown coverage. I thought the pass to Goedert was really good because he feathered it into a tight window and hit Goedert right in the hands. It was a tough catch, but he gets paid to make them. What has me excited about Hurts is that he is forcing defenses to play the whole field, left, right and over the middle. When you factor in his running ability, that is a lot for a defense to defend. Obviously it has just been two games, but two vastly different styles of defense have been pretty useless against him.

Those guys go 1 or 2. He could. Most teams will probably have him as the #1 player on the board, but you know how teams are. Teams without QBs get desperate and go QB at the top of the draft. Often ownership driven and mandated. Depends on who gets #1. If it's a team that has a QB I could see them keeping it and taking Anderson, but if it's a QB needy team, they definitely will go QB.

But that's a pretty boring position to take on a message board 😂 What fun can be had with reasonable discussions?

September 20, 20222 yr Hmmm... is Bijan Robinson worth taking in the 20s - definitely a luxury pick, I'd would rather stack DE/DT/OL picks... but would he be BPA?

Goes back to my point about them smelling themselves too much. If you are planning for something after a win instead of preparing for a win, you probably aren't winning. Probably had something to do with Reagor and how badly we treated him. See also, Brown, Lomas or 2018 NFC CG... we're going to take over the Linc. Yeah... about that. That said, I freely admit, I had the Vikings winning that game. Glad to be proven wrong.

I haven't seen effective blitzes like that since Jim Johnson. They caught me by surprise as they were happening and they worked perfectly.

September 20, 20222 yr It was probably mentioned last night but that was one of the fastest games I can remember in awhile. Don't usually see them shorter than 3 hours.

September 20, 20222 yr Hurts has already exceeded my expectations but I’m a ways away before thinking he’s a franchise QB. 1 great half of football isn’t enough to do it for me, but I was very impressed with him yesterday.
