I think he meant it as more of a father figure type. Unless it’s just a random coincidence I don’t know 🤷‍♂️. Just know he was a different name in his first two years at college and suddenly changed it because of some Brian Johnson.

That’s a good trade. Also doesn’t mean you have to give him an extension right now (i would cause i think it’ll be cheaper now than down the road) as the compensation wasn’t all that much if it didn’t workout. 

What’s the franchise tag price on safety? Because you could let this play itself out to see how he does this year. if he hits and plays well try to get a contract done during the year and at worst you could just franchise him to try to get it done during the offseason.

If you trade a 1st for Brown, you have to have an extension in place.

If CGJ walks at the end of the year, we could get a 4th round comp pick in 2024.

Unless CGJ refused to play in NO this year, as he was a "hold-in", I don't get it.

I’m thinking they are viewing it as a one year try out. He probably saw the safety market explode and his agent is asking for a major payday, to the point it killed his trade value. I don’t know why Saints wouldn’t just keep him and let him walk but don’t know what else makes sense.
