.5 per game this year to be exact but you're correct. Was trying to make a point about Smith without sounding like I was continually bashing the QB.  But like HE said, they have made him in to a possession WR.  Damn shame the Eagles finally have crazy talent at WR and through 2 games, they only have 1 TD between the 3 of them.

Yeah he's had 22 starts so far, and has 22 passing TDs in those starts (had 1 against GB his rookie year before he was named starter).

Until that changes, our WRs total TD numbers will never be very good.

I’m sure across the pond they recognize the utility of being able to hide a 2 litre (sp?) in their back pocket amongst other things.

Only if it's a Faygo

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Watching the all 22 and noticed a few things.

On the Vikings TD, Theilen had a pretty clear block on our DB to free the TE for the easy catch. Where was the OPI on that play?

I can see the concerns about Davis as a pass rusher, but he clearly clogs up the middle on running plays and keeps the guys clean behind him.

We had a beautiful sequence of plays on our third TD drive. We ran two draws in a row where Hurts looked like he was going to throw a quick wr screen, and then handed the ball off. The fake throw put the DTs out of position, and allowed Goedert and Kelce to get to the linebackers, and both runs ended up being decent gains. The next play was the Hurts TD run, where he faked the handoff and ran a sprint option. The linebackers were frozen by the fake, which provided an easy play for Hurts to either throw to Goedert or keep it. Just a glorious series where the two runs set up the sprint option perfectly.

Our defense is definitely a whirl of changes. White lined up as a SAM several times and once as a DE with Reddick next to him. Cox lined up as a DE in a 4-3, with Davis and Hargrave as the DTs. The opposing OT can see three different players in front of him on three consecutive plays. Definitely a lot different than in the past.

The easiest five yards in football is the Eagles lining up in 5-wide with an empty backfield. Show a light box, Hurts just runs it. Keep an extra man in the box, there's going to be an open receiver. The Vikings had no answer for this look all night long. This was the formation we used when Hurts hit Quez on the pass that was called back by the Mailata hold. We were in that formation on that drive several times and were marching down the field until that holding penalty.

Something to nitpick…

The Eagles have yet to score in the 4th quarter. That, to me, says we need a better north/south run game.

Agree.

Penalties, somewhat Monday but need to capitalize. Crunch time, points needed. Insurance.

I didnt know this until this morning, but apparently Bruce Arians "left the bench" area during the altercation with the Saints. - No fine, no suspension for him.

I'm unsure what this dude did, or who he has pictures of but he really is the golden boy

Every time I see that guy I just wonder how high is blood pressure is. His face is always beat red and he seems so hyped up and on edge.

Shocked it didn’t give him a heart attack.

Also - you didn’t want to coach anymore. Get off the sidelines

It's something they need to figure out.  Through 19 NFL games, he has 5 TDs.  He had 37 TDs over his last 26 games.  I know those are college numbers but that's insane production.  To have only 5 is alarming at this point in his career.  It's not on him either.

Well he's but by then not getting him in space 20-30 yards down field and he's also hurt by not having a precise red zone and goal line passer.

2 games.

Plus last year when he loses Wentz, has to work with Hurts and change the entire offense to make the postseason

Look at some of these other clowns like Hackett, or hell even or old pal Frank Reich.  Those guys are showing they are over their heads

He was still on their sideline. The bench area is the area back behind the white stripe; so he didn’t come onto the field or anything suspension-worthy, but the NFL prefers nonessential personnel to not be on the white stripe (players, coaches, officials).

They don’t suspend every waterboy or owner who temporarily steps there, but they were probably concerned because the only reason he was there was due to the fight and he was yelling at Saints players

This is wrong, sorry.

He came into the white sideline area during aftermath and was actively engaging the Zebras. Off limits for non-coaches, refs or players.

NFL already sent a letter of reprimand, more penalties may be coming.

Letter to Tampa Arians

It's like people have never been through an NFL season before. How many September powerhouses flame out in November/December? It happens every single year.

Now, there's reason for optimism, and obviously it's far better to start well than not. But the season is a marathon, and we've just passed the first 3 miles of 26 basically.

They might need the Conference wins by the end of the season but all bets are off if they lose this Sunday.  It’ll be a national story on how Wentz took his revenge, same for Doug down the road, these games can’t become distractions because of the story lines.

Re-nitpicking...

They had a lot of success running N/S.  There were the traps they ran with Scott and then Sanders on the third TD drive (the broadcast focused on Kelce).  Straight up the middle.

It's different when the entire stadium knows you want to run the ball.

Also, scoring and protecting a lead don't perfectly align.

Not looking to argue, AL, just pointing out he had no Biz being in the White area at all, or arguing with the Zs....

Red face and all...

NFL recognized. Responded.

He misses coaching, can't let go or help himself.

Still mysterious how he was run out of coaching/asked to take a backseat,

Brady?

Or to be determined I think the mindset is.

It might have something to do with him saying he was "immunized" rather than "vaccinated". And then he tested positive.

I mean that is lying about his vaccination status, I guess.  But how did he cheat?

I would fix the typo but now it would be two and just not worth.

Yep.  If he's not the answer at QB long term, then yeah.  He should be replaced.  Amazing concept, isn't it.

But two games.  If we are using the two game recency bias, Tua is the 3rd best QB in the NFL.

Arians does want to coach.  Brady doesn't want him as coach, so the organization "moved" him.

Brady retires, Brady schemes to go to Miami, Flores launches lawsuit, Arians "retires", Brady un-retires and returns to Bucs.
