September 21, 20222 yr Looks like Taylor Lewan is out for the year and next year is the last year of his contract. Potential Dillard destination. Given that their offense runs through Henry, they can't afford to be down a LT. The price would need to be right given how valuable he is for depth.

Minny for Bradford, Dallas for Amari, Houston for Tunsil. Titans’ losing ways will probably assist in that as well

I'd love that, but I can't think of a worse cultural fit than the Titans and Dillard.

With that being said, the team still only scored 24 points and all of that was in the 1st half. The offense didn't to much in the 2nd half at all. Also, the defense played on another level that we haven't seen in some time. We need to be careful that we don't use Monday as a measuring stick for the rest of the year because I doubt we see the defense and Hurts play on that level at the same time again. The Vikings also left quite a few plays on the field that would have made that a different game. We also need to remember that again, as good as Hurts played and as encouraging as MNF was, there are 28 QBs with more passing TDs than Hurts right now. Yes, he has 3 rushing TDs and you can't take those away but again, the Hurts progression many of us want to see is as a passer and there are still big areas of improvement needed. I don't think Gannon has it in him to create a scary pass rush unfortunately. He's done absolutely nothing with Reddick through 2 games as far as being creative and getting him after the QB. I'm going to be happy if Hurts shows continued growth from Monday, still would like to see him not get hit as much. I agree with a lot of your thoughts. I expect that we should get a few more games like this one from both the offense and defense. It's not like the Vikings are the easiest opponent. They were able to move the ball in the 2nd half but they were not nearly as effective. Part of that was penalties but I would have liked to have seen one more TD drive out of them. The offense was an A+ in the first half and more like a C in the second. Gannon's use of Reddick and his lack of utilizing Davis is still problematic. I do hope that we see a Gannon that isn't scared to blitz especially when opposing teams are in the red zone. The blitz was far more effective. I don't think they really disguised pressure that convincingly but the willingness to send extra men made Cousins uncomfortable. It's a shame he didn't do it last week against Goff. He needs to do it this week against Wentz who is also prone to the bad mistake when under pressure. I am more hopeful about a repeat from Hurts than Gannon. One thing that seems different about Hurts is that he seems to put more of his lower body into his throws. This is his pass to Watkins against SF last season: His body comes around on the throw but it looks like the power is all through his arm. I'm no expert but it seems he is putting more torque through his lower body on the throw from Monday night to Watkins.

I don't know if the Titans think of themselves as contenders at this point. The only thing going for them is that they play in the worst division in the NFL.

Which keeps it closer to his body and not as much of an over the top motion and a ittle more side arm motion which allows the wrist to create more spin on the ball. When you throw over top it's harder to create that pop with the wrist. He doesn't leap into like he did last year and as you say, keeping his base allows his lower body to stay in the motion. I thought the throw to Goedert in triple coverage, he was up on his toes when he released. I need to find the play again to see. Edit - Nope, I was wrong. Good set in the pocket, good throw.

September 21, 20222 yr Also, if you're trying to develop Malik Willis or play him at all in the 2nd half, you can't give him that terrible OL.

I watched the Miam v. Ravens game last night and thought Tua's deep balls looked worse and a couple were like dying ducks by the time the receiver caught them. It seems like his upside is still something like Dak's in terms of arm strength. 1 minute ago, Texas Eagle said: The AFC South is very winnable You're right. I think 7 wins may do it.

September 21, 20222 yr Also regarding Lewan: "And, this might be the end of the road for Lewan in Nashville. The 2014 first-round pick has no guaranteed money left on the final year of his deal, which expires after 2023" It just makes too much sense

A defender clearly knocked it out.
