Add stott to it. Throwing an easy double play into centerfield. Springer slipped and fell out of the box and the runner at second was going to be out by a mile. Yet stott rushes it and tosses it over his head.

Not for a loss but I teared up when that pass fell incomplete in Minnesota and the confetti was falling.

Dallas defense might be able to keep the giants under 10 points. Giants defense likely not gonna hold rush to less than 13 points. I think it comes down to if Barkley hits some big plays in this.

I don't know, I've known a few girls that are all natural and have Fing dumptrucks. One of my wife's best friends is like that. My wife's a fitness nut and does like 5000 squats a week and still doesn't have an ass like that.

Lets say they dont. Lets say he continues scoring 2 more rushing TDs than passing TDs (which sounds crazy and unlikely to happen). AND keeps winning games. So say playing that way, and winning that way is sustainable. Now the question becomes- is this sustainable for roster building reasons?

Is that going toe keep WRs happy. Will they be happy getting yards, and a few TDs, and playing on a winning team? Will that be enough to get WRs and TEs to want to come here to play with him?

If not, then you cant committ. Wins or not, you cant covet that style of play more than being able to build a talented roster on offense. If WRs dont want to play with him because he is a TD hog with his keepers then it'll be an issue. At some point we will begin to see negative effects in Wins column. As WRs leave and it is hard to get good ones to come, its going to leave the team worse off.

 

So- this is a wait and see thing. Can he keep up that level of play? Can he throw that well and actually throw more TDs? And if not, are his WRs going to get pissed seeing him keep it near the goal line all the time?

 

I can see Hurts stats now.......

67% comp, 12 TDs, 7 ints, 4,365 passing yards, 21 rushing TDs.

Would be extremely weird if all season once they get in the redzone it's all rushing TDs and Hurts running TDs with very little passing.

Could you imagine a 2:1 rushing to passing ratio for a QB over a whole season? I guess if there ever was a guy to do it, it might be Hurts. But it still seems incredibly unrealistic.

Yup he better get going soon.  He's on pace for 8 or 9 😄

Defenses adjust very quickly and don’t like giving up TDs.  If Hurts demonstrates his preference inside the 10 is to run then defenses will scheme to stop it.

He was throwing the ball well no doubt.  However, with Smith, Brown, Goedert with Watkins mixed in, to score only 24 points isn't good enough.  To invest what they did at WR and TE and not have either of those 3 have a TD yet is a big red flag.  Smith was a TD machine at Alabama and the Eagles have somehow found a way to make a 160lb guy a possession WR.  

I don't know how much falls on Hurts and how much falls on the playcalling but they need to get Smith in space.  They need to push the ball downfield more.  There is too much talent and too much invested at WR and TE for them to not be getting in to the endzone frequently.

I’m less concerned with the overall game on Monday night. They scored 24 and the game was never in question during the second half, so the total points doesn’t bother me. I’m more concerned that they went all in this year and what might happen if they decide to give Hurts a big deal which will limit the players they can add around him.
