That toss to Goedert was vs zone. Might have been his best throw of the game. Hit the soft spot vs what i am almost sure was a cover 2

Frog not Turtle.  But you have the Scorpion part 100% right!

Hmm .... the way I heard that fable the frog was Natalie Wood and the scorpion was Robert Wagner -- except Wagner walked away scot-free, because the duck named Christopher Walken pretended he didn't see anything, and flew away.

As mentioned, many times before.  You guys take this place too seriously.

To some extent Rodgers. He is frustrated with his new receivers (not the first time) yet doesn’t show up to work with them in the offseason.  Apparently, Kyler Murray doesn’t study film opting instead to play video games. Rumors sure suggested that Wentz quit communicating with Doug and the same issues have plagued him his entire career.  Rosen. Manzeil, Vince Young.  I can keep going as it is a long list.

Not just QBs but the NFL is littered with washouts.  Danny the Fireman.  JJAW, Reagor.  For some, I refer to it is believing their clippings, basically the articles singing their praises in high school, college and the draft selection.  We have all seen it on the job.  The new hire fresh to the job that always excelled in school and cannot believe they aren’t the manager after six months.  Believing your clippings.

Not immediately succeeding may have helped Brandon Graham become a prototype professional.  Others wouldn’t have put in the work.  Asante Samuel was too slow and too short to be a starting corner.  Film work proved otherwise.  Part of this is fighting for a job.

Pascal and Fulgham both played together at Old Dominion.  There Fulgham had a reputation for taking on new things.  Both learned that work effort.  Fulgham was the better athlete and got drafted.  Pascal was a UDFA.  Pascal bounced around his first year with the Commode Doors and then the Titans.  Fulgham went practice squad with the Lions.  But for some reason he thought he made it and got cut.  Green Bay tried him and cut him.  The Eagles  signed him and he had four games of success and then quit putting in the work that got him drafted in the first place.  Pascal went to the Colts.,They saw the effort in his blocking and a willingness to work on his routes. Still not great hands but you can see the effort.  Watch him on STs.  Fulgham is out of football at this point.  Players respect players willing to put in the work.

This is a succinct post. Thanks BigE.

Rest on your laurels, I've already arrived,  showed I belong, etc. Death Knell.

When everyone around you is working hard to improve, your lack of commitment becomes obvious.

"Locker Room" is a term thrown around quite a bit but it simply means a close group, in tight company every day, pulling together toward the same goal. If a guy is doggin it, that becomes obvious to the others pretty fast. Classroom or weight room.

Outgrow your Draft Slot. UDFA wants a job and will excell because he's hungrier than the guy just above him.

Note the "Try Hard" guys. Boston Scott comes to mind. Still has his job, trending up. Who tries harder?

Ok come on.  Stop.  That's the muppet right?  It has to be.  Sounds kinda like him.  I stopped when he said Reddick had 15 sacks last year.  He had 11.  4 is a big difference.  Talk about Pollyanna.

Come one, who on here is the muppet?  Enough already.

And, he keeps calling him Riddick.

BUT, those things are besides the point.

He points out a ton of plays where eagles DL are winning and pressuring throws. One play had the Reagor pressure on the INT that you noticed. There are a lot of plays like that where a lot of people probably didnt realize there was pressure, and how it affected throws.

Hey JR, I don't have the All 22, but I'm interested in that throw to Goedert into triple coverage. Do you mind going over that play when you can? Was he the first and only read? With three guys converging on him was there another option to go with the ball?

I think the play was 2nd Q, about 7 minutes left?

Here you go. First the sideline view. Vikings in two-deep zone.

2022-09-22.thumb.png.d6a80c6a54931e4f4634bb11b8efa168.png

Attacking the left corner. Smith at about the 28 is pulling the CB with him.

462660041_2022-09-22(1).thumb.png.ec6306adddda821788f43e29428cd665.png

Pascal hooks at about the 29, and Goedert does a square out at about the 37. Hurts has his choice of all three receivers.

394047055_2022-09-22(2).thumb.png.ec0599f3d12d53ba2a802168a3cefe09.png

He picks Goedert who has separation from his man. The short CB has left Smith because the ball's in the air. The safety is nine yards away. Hurts drops it perfectly behind the two CBs and in front of the safety.

Goedert gets both hands on it but the CB rips it out. Great play by the CB. It looks like triple coverage but it was not. Goedert was single-covered. The other two guys got there late.

Appreciate it, thank you

This will be my last attempt at recruiting players for the weekly EMB football contest on draftkings. I leave for work in about an hour and I wont be home until right around gametime tonight.

We are up to 8 players. The more, the better. Bragging rights, and even a little bit of money for taco bell is on the line.

I def feel better about him in a vacuum, however, we need to see this week over week before we start asking this very question.

How soon everyone forgets Hurts destroying the Falcons week 1 last year and struggling as a passer for the majority of the remaining games. I want to be excited about him, but I need to see more. And before I get called names, I wasn't excited about Carson until well into the 2017 season. Probably at least 6-8 games in.

Nice. So good read, disappointing result? CB made a key play.

Single coverage on Goeddert should be a win 75%...? Better?

End zone view. Not the best because you can't see the receivers for most of the play.

Nice pocket. You can see Sanders at the left of the screen on a late release. The MLB is flat-footed, looking at him.

In the sideline shot sequence, I incorrectly identified the short receiver as Pascal. It's Sanders, who's the short option on the play. Wide open. You can just see the lower half of Goedert as he breaks out. You can see that he's got about a yard and a half separation from the CB. That's plenty.

Here you can see that Goedert was open. It was not triple coverage.

The CB rips it out. You can see Smith on the sideline. He was the middle-distance option on this play

Yes. The defense makes plays too.

Is it $2 per week or $2 total? Because depending on the answer I may have deposited way too much money.

If you stick with it, itll be 2 dollars each week. It comes out of your account whenever you submit your roster for that week.

If you just play this week, itll be just 2 dollars total. But dont do that.
